Over at PTW there is a fabulous sketch by DawnyP (her sketches are great) and here is my take on it. The papers are Shabby Princess digi kit Sunporch, Sugar Nellie image coloured in using wc pencils and sakura pens, used my new nestabilities and some gorgeous flowers that are a mix of new paper ones I got on holiday and fabric ones from Wilkinsons. (I seem to have gone flower mad at the moment, usually I forget I've got them!lol) TFL x

I love this challenge blog, really makes me stop and look at my stash! Anyway this weeks sketch over at Sketch & Stash is great and I couldnt resist using Busy Dottie & George from the Christmas bundle available over at Charmed Cards & Crafts although I have had this bundle for sometime I have never used these images, the paper is digi from a recent freebie kit called Big Top by Stolen Moments, the gems and brads are from my stash and the flowers are part of a bunch I bought the other day at Wilkinsons. TFL - now I must get on with some ironing! hope to be back later though!
Oh my, I missed it, well I did and I didnt! The card was finished in time but I didnt get chance to upload it in time as my computer was hijacked and then I was so tired and by the time I got back on the computer the new challenge was up! Anyway this card followed a sketch and all the papers are from my stash I think the background one isPm but the others I dont know, peeloff fancy corners and flowers and brads from my stash and off course the beautiful Fairy Dottie from Charmed Cards and Crafts. Well I have survived my nights and thats it for work now til a week on Sunday so how cool is that! lol Still feel a bit groggy today though! Lovely sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week and here is my take on it. The paper is from a digi kit by Stolen Moments called Someone to Love, coredinatons cs embossed with BS plate and swiss dots image coloured using whispers strokes pens and sakura glaze, the flowers are from a bunch bought in wilkinsons for £1.50! with a touch of glitter glue added. Not so sure about the blue mount now, wanted to pick up the blue in the image its a bit out of my comfort zone which is probably why I'm not sure! anyway TFL . Hope to catch up with some more challenges tomorrow.

Great idea for a challenge over at SCSC this week which is to use something recycled so I dedcided to use an old cd case as a way of storing my new Sugar Nellie stamps adn now that I've done this one I only have another 5 to go (at the moment!lol), papers and flowers are all pm and the image is coloured using whispers pens and sakura stardust pens. TFL
and now I must go to bed as I have ironing and packing to sort tomorrow and no doubt I'll be popping on here too! Night x
Great challenge over at Dotties World this week - The challenge this week is LURVE. Just plain old love or romance. Here is your chance to make something for hubby for Valentine; anything goes as long as it includes as at least one of the Charmed downloads, set by Karen, and the design team have produced some totally awesome work - go check 'em out. Well I couldn't resist using the fabulous new downloads they are just so cool - Lou you are amazing! I used Madison Oh La La which I coloured using sakura pens, whispers and wc pencils I then threaded thru some funky fibres for an extra touch of glamour (at least that was what I was trying to acheive, not sure it worked!lol) paper is pm and the sentiment is pc generated. TFL
Well Sammi thanks for having me on Crafty Muse as a guest designer I've really enjoyed it. Now this fortnight the challenge is to use your favourite colour and as you can probably guess mine is purple I've used 'a good book' Sugar Nellie stamp which I stamped and embossed with silver pearl embossing powder, coloured in using a mixture of whisper pens, sakura and wc pencils, tiny prima flowers which were a rak the oval frame is cut from mountboard (2 pieces for depth) using the sizzix die, added some glitter glue, background paper is pm and then tied some fibres and a little hat charm from my stash, this is a little bit different for me and I'm quite pleased with it I really must start using my fibres more often. TFL Also I must add a quick apology for not being around blogland very much recently but unfortunately work has got in the way! and on Sunday Ria and I are off to see my mum and dad for the week but I will try and pop on and see what you are all getting up to!

Over at SCSC Sue set a fabby challenge called At The Zoo, well its been pretty hectic here this week with one thing or another and I really didnt think I was going to get this one done but thankfully I was able to sit here tonight and make this card. The backfround paper is a freebie from a magazine, the flowers are pm as are the brads and the hippo is from a strip of material from a local quilting shop (I have a couple of strips with different pics and tend to forget that I have them but when it came to the theme of Zoo I knew I didnt have any relevant stamps so I had to think a bit harder and remembered this.) I'm actually quite pleased with the way this has turned out and feel it has a bit of a masculine feel to it despite the flowers. Hope you like it. TFL

Nicola set the challenge this week over at Dotties World, now unfortunately I didnt get chance to take part in last weeks but I still intend to complete the challenge but on to this weeks ... Spring is nearly here......I want to see shades of green and yellow and ofcourse a download from Charmed Cards... Now I know I've already done a button tin but couldnt resist using this challenge for my next one which is my green & yellow buttons! pm background paper and various scraps of paper to cut my buttons and then Girls about town download and I changed the word Boutique for Button it up and had a sale slogan in the window which reads half price green & yellow buttons today only and I have used the Karen image who just happens to have noticed the sale slogan! TFL I enjoyed putting this together and it motivated my to complete another button tin so extra thanks for that Nicola.

What a great challenge over at ABC Challenge to use the first stamp you bought. Well I cant remember exactly which was my first stamp but I know that the one that I have used which is part of a set of 4 is definately amongst the first (and to be honest I'd forgotten they were in the drawer!) They are by Rubbadubbadoo and the collection is called Art Flowers. These are actually magnet backed and are still available. The background paper is from the Artylicious Filigree Fusion CD which I then embossed with paisley pattern from the BS texture plates. The flower is coloured with wc pencils and mounted onto some coredintaion cs also embossed then a bit of ribbon from my stash. This card is actually a sympathy card (I really dont like making sympathy cards) so I have kept it very simple. TFL
Snow is still falling here so Ria has gone to bed happy (no school tomorrow! lol) and I am feeling a little more relaxed as I have had to move to the late shift now so hopefully by lunchtime the roads will be a bit clearer and although I dont finish til 9.30pm there arent too many people on the road that time of night so I miss all the mad people who still drive as if its dry and bright conditions!
ASFOS challenge this week is entitled Love is in the Air so this is what I made. Image is Sugar Nellie Pen Pal stamp coloured with wc pencils and sakura pens and a tiny amount of glitter added, the aperture is filled with pale pink vellum which has be put thru BS with CB script folder the hearts and flowers are punches and finished off with a gold peeloff, didnt quite end up as I had planned! TFL Well we have some snow but not as much as in some places, I know my mum who is in Kent has had loads, it is snowing here at the mo and I hope it stops soon as I'm on the early shift tomorrow! Ria has no school tomorrow as only about 1/4 made it in today so she is hoping for loads! lol Right better go and sort tea we are a bit late tonight! Bye for now. x

Over at PTW it was another fabby sketch by DawnyP, I really enjoy working with Dawnys sketches. idnt think I was going to get this one done but tonight it just flowed and worked! The paper is a sheet I had sent to me as part of a PIF, the black cs from my stash, the little silver metal fans I have had for ages and the dress is an Anitas silver peeloff I bought the other day just because I liked them! put it onto black card then mounted it with foam pads onto another panel. TFL and now I must go to bed as I am somewhat tired! Hope you have all had a good weekend and not having much trouble with snow.
A fabby sketch again this week over at Sketch & Stash and I managed to get enough time to play and make a card so here it is! My new item is my Sugar Nellie stamp 'Sweet & Sassy', I'm lovin' these stamps! The brown cs is from the cheapy shop, the paper is from a digi kit by Digi-Designs By Nicole and is called Love Notes. Image is coloured in with wc pencils, whispers strokes pens and sakura pens, the little adhesive gems are papermania which I have had for quite a while now and the ribbon is from my stash but I dont know whos it is.
