Stamp Something - Charmed Something

Well time for another altered picture frame for a friend of Ria's and yes her birthday is tomorrow! I have used some more glittered paper for the background from the DCWV glitter stack, the sentiment is a SeeD stamp stamped using Stazon onto the glass, the 'B' has been cut on the xyron pcm using the embellishment shapes + font book, flowers are from my stash and the charm is an old earring of butterflies. This is for the challenge this week over at Stamp Something which is Charmed Something. TFL

PTW Sketch #39 ; Anya Ink #2 pink & sparkly & SFOS #100 Happy Birthday

This card is for the Papertake Weekly challenge which is a sketch, Spoon Full Of Sugar which is Happy Birthday and Anya Ink which is Pink & Sparkly. This took me a while because I knew what image I wanted (coloured with copics & sakura stardust) and I knew I wanted to use the pink sparkly patterned paper (DCWV glitter stack) but then I spent ages trying to find other suitable papers and elements but I got there in the end. The gingham paper is from the internet the cs is coredinations which I have then embossed with a paisly pattern, the ribbon and flowers are from my stash and the leaves have been cut from some green corrugated paper that I have had for years I also went round the edge of the sentiment with glitz it glitter glue for even more sparkle. TFL

Dotties World - Pocket It

When I saw the challenge this week over at Dotties World where Louise had said ... This week I'd like you to fill your pockets! :) In other words include a pocket in your creation, I don't mind what you put in it as long as the pocket is there....if you are sending it to me £10 notes work well :D. Dont forget Dottie's World challenges MUST include a Charmed download! ... I knew exactly what type of pocket I wanted to do! I remembered quite sometime ago making a herringbone card following Louise's video tutorial which you can find here so I made another one. My papers are from the Wonderful Winter glittered collection from MME and I used Shop til you Drop Dottie. This card is for my sister and I have put a next card in the big pocket. Image coloured with copics - what else!lol and ribbon from my stash which I think is American Crafts. TFL

Birthday Blog Candy over at Mess2Magic

Did you know that Lisa over at Mess 2 Magic is celebrating her birthday (which was actually yesterday) with some fab candy which is being drawn on Sunday 25th so pop over there and check it out it looks like really scrummy candy to me! (I'm keeping my fingers crossed!)

Photo frame

When I got home from work yesterday 2 hours later than I should have Ria told me she would like a present for friends at school who were twins and their birthday was tomorrow (today!) I was already very tired but toddled off to slimming world then on my return home set to. We have already altered small frames for some of her other friends which have always been well received so that was the plan again. Now these girls call themselves the Hagen das girls as their name is Hegenbarth and Ria wanted to use this on the frame so we put their name on cut from purple coredinations shiny card using sizzix tag alpha then added a tag to the frame which was actually a self adhesive flower fairies tag but I used the self adhesive side to add the phrase 'sweeter than ice cream' (Rias idea) and then covered it with glamour dust then added a couple of y prima flowers and a brad to tie in with the background paper which is from the DCWV glitter stack which is on the inside. The idea is for the girls to add their own photos. Apparently they were really pleased with it I was just really pleased to get to bed last night! or should I say this morning!!! lol

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Sorry for shouting but I am excited! I had a wonderful surprise parcel arrive on Tuesday and it had no note with it and when I opened it I could hardly believe my eyes a set of 72 copic ciao pens - totally awesome. Now I hadnt entered any comps that I could remember so that really narrowed it down. Adrian was home at the time as we were getting stuff down from the loft and he said well if you dont know who its from you cant use them! they might not be for you! Like I would be able to not use them! lol So I sent a text to my mum thinking she must have been my mystery giver but no it wasnt and whilst sending her another text I received a call from my wonderful sister saying 'they've arrived then!' apparently she was fed up reading my blog and seeing that I didnt have the right colours for challenges so she thought she's help me out! You gotta love this girl, I certainly do especially as she spent 2 days researching them to ensure she got the right ones and looking at what colours I had by backtracking my blog to make sure she got the right set in order not to have too many duplicates (my sister is not a crafter but she has always been very thorough in everything she does) So now I have loads of great copics to play with and after tomorrow I have the whole weekend off which I am so looking forward to as its been a heavy few days at work this week.

Dotties World - Play with these colours

Over at Dotties World this week Gunn asked us to play with these colors of my choice: Green, Pink and Turqoise. So while I was busy stroking my new stash I realised that some of my new papers from the Me & MY Big Ideas pad would work for the challenge and as soon as I saw these papers I knew exactly which image I wanted to use, Holly on the beach from the Holly & Madison World Tour, I coloured her using copic with a tiny touch of sakura pens, cs is coredinations, flowers are my new Prima e line and I also managed to use a card candy and some little gems. It was nice to make a card again after having a week of not being able to but I did enjoy doing my digi scrapbooking too but more importantly I had a great week off with my mum! TFL

PaperTake Weekly Sketch #38

I used the sketch from PaperTake Weekly this week to make another digi lo. The papers are from a digi collab kit by Vicki aka A Work In Progress & Sara aka Sweet Blossom Designs and also from Primary Grunge by Vicki. The shell elements I made myself! (took me all night yesterday! I'm sure it will get quicker with practice!lol The picture I took yesterday over on the Isle of Sheppy and although it was a sunny day it was very windy and VERY cold with the wind coming in off the sea but it was worth it I'm quite happy with the photos I took and hope to do some more lo's with them in the future. TFL Been craft shopping again today and got a few more new bits and tomorrow we are back over to Sheppy for some dog walking and a picnic so hopefully more photo opportunities.

Dotties World - Butterflies

This week at Dotties World the challenge was set by Nicole who said ... This week I would LOVE to see at least two butterfly embellishments....patterned paper with butterflies won't do!! :o).....the butterflies must be 3D :o) and of course you must include a Charmed download! Well I'm not at home at the moment so dont have access to all my crafty bits for card making so I decided to make a digi scrapbook page. The papers are Shabby Princess - Dinner Party and I used the cookie cutter in PSE5 to cut the flower, leaves and butterflies then I played around with layer styles to finish off the butterflies. My charmed download is actually the sentiment which is from Pixies set 1 available from Charmed Cards & Crafts. TFL,

Copic Colour Challenge # 58 & Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Anything Goes

This card is for 2 challenges the Copic Colour Challenge which asked us to use R17, Y13 & YG21 and guess what I didnt have any of them! lol so instead I used YG23, Y15 & RV34 so I kinda kept to the colour scale! The other challenge is the Pollycraft Monday Challenge which is Anything Goes which is to celebrate the fact that they are now going to be challenging us weekly instead of fortnightly! The image is a Pollycraft Design Friday Freebie and he is such a cutie and I added diamond glaze to the icing on the cake. The paper is Doodlebug but I dont know what its called it was a piece I had left over and it is flocked on the pink flowers, the fibre is some I have had for ages and keep forgetting about but since sorting my craft stuff I have put somewhere more accessible! lol And did you know that Pollycraft Monday Challenge is now going to be weekly instead of fortnightly - way to go!

Adeles Birthday Candy

Ooops how bad am I have been meaning to do this for the past 4 weeks and suddenly realised as I was finishing my card for Dotties World tonight that I still hadnt got round to mentioning the fabulous birthday candy that Adele has to offer over on her blog here is what she says ... Here we go ladies, as promised here are the details of my Birthday Blog Candy.

Karen of Charmed Cards and Crafts has kindly offered to give away not one, but two Charmed Digital Download collections . Rather than give two collections to one winner I have decided to let two winners each chose one download bundle of their choice !
There are of course some rules to follow too but go check it out if you are a regular follower of Adele or Dotties World you will know what a fab prize this is. Well good luck everyone. x

Dotties World - Paper Roses

Adele set the challenge this week over at Dotties World and she said ... Paper Roses...............

or daffs, or tulips....you get the picture? BUT I don't want to see any pre-made flowers please - only die cuts, punched flowers or any flower/s you have made from scratch on your creations this week please. The only other limitation is that aCharmed Download MUST be used....but that is no limitation at all is it, there is so much to choose from! LOL Well I found my image Pretty Dottie from the front to back collection which I coloured with copics then I added my own handmade ribbon flower (I know its not paper but I did make it so hope it counts!lol) Background paper is papermania and the sentiment is one I have had for ages, regretted buying them after I got them home but like it on this card so maybe there is a place on my cards for them! Now I am also putting this card up for Adeles birthday candy so do pop over to her blog and see what it is all about. I've been meaning to link to this for the past 4 weeks!

Hope this image is ok to use for the challenge it is 'Sleepy Foxgirl' and she is just so sweet. I have coloured her with copics, the paper is a digi from Raspberry Road but cant remeber which kit the oval frame is cut from mount board with a sissix die and then coloured with a copic and all the other bits are from my stash + a few little punched butterflies the sentiment is by hand, not so sure that was a good idea but didnt have anything else that worked!lol TFL
