Get In Shape!

With a shaped card that is! lol Thats the challenge this week over at Divas By Design and we have a fabulous sponsor in the shape of

So on to my card, well I was in need of a baby card so turned to my trusty Cricut and found a cute babies bottle on the Doodlecharm cartridge then I found the baby on the New Arrival cartridge which I cut from white card and coloured with Spectrum Noirs.  The ticket die cut and sentiment is from a set but I can't remember whose :-( sorry.  wasn't sure at first if I could use such a sentiment but it just made me smile so I went with it (also checked with my mum and mad her laugh so can't be bad! lol)  Although it is a simple card I'm rather pleased with it.

Bath Time

I've been enjoying my weekend off and playing in my craft room (done some chores too!) and decided to have a play with another of The Paper Shelter images that I won recently.  My inspiration for this card came from the background paper which is First Editions Dreamcatcher.  I paper pieced the bath and coloured the rest of the image with my copics then added copious amounts of Glitz It glitter glue and Stickles, used some silver mirriboard for the die cut corners, some ribbon, flowers and pearl heart from my stash, then finished off with a little peeloff sentiment.  Hope you like it.

So I thought this time I'd make something that wasn't a card and I decided to make a folding gift wallet for cds, as I need to send some to my mum.  I used 'Rock Chic' from KennyK coloured with copics, papers are all from PM Happy Days pad, the 'Mum' is cut on the Cricut and I have used a corner die,  

the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Fast Lane and I've added some glitter card around the sentiment,  

and the inside also has the corner die cuts using a glitter card.  The wallet is then held closed using some small magnets.

Time to go hoppin'

Yep! It's Friday 10 May and that means release day at Crafty Sentiments Designs and excitingly its a blog hop too with the chance of a prize!  All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is to leave a comment on the 8th /9th /10th on the Inspirational blog, become a follower if you're not already and also visit and leave a comment on all participating blogs on the 10th.

Right onto my card, well you should have arrived here from Cathy's  blog and for my card I have used the adorable image 'Primrose the Mermaid' I have coloured her with copics and paper pieced her tail with some textured holographic shiny paper.  I used an aperture card and placed some swirly embossed acetate in front of the image to give an impression of water, wasn't sure if it would work but I actually like the way it turned out.  I added some swirly die cut corners, branches and found a VERY old resin type sticker.

Preview Day 2

Yay today is day 2 of previewing the amazing new collection of stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs.  They will ALL be available from midnight on Friday 10 May, how exciting, you are going to love them all!  I do! Ok so today we get to share with you 'Jasmin Swim with Me', 'Annabel Sail with Me' and 'Summer Time'.  I have used Annable Sail with Me, coloured with copics and spectrums, papers are First Editions Family Ties, bunting cut with Cricut, other dies are x-cut (recent purchase) and I finished off with some gems, flowers and die cut sentiment and a triple bow made from bakers twine.

Use a sentiment

Good morning, wow I don't know about you but I had a really busy weekend, unfortunately I had to work, (Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon) but got the day off today! I hope you had a more enjoyable bank holiday weekend and got to enjoy some sun :-)  

Being as it is now Tuesday that means a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments and this week Cathy would like to see you use a sentiment, did you know that Crafty Sentiments Designs has some great sentiment sets? well they do! and I used one of the Ticket sentiments for my card, along with the stamp (or rather top portion of the stamp!) Annabel Sweet Treat.  I have coloured with my copics, my papers are First Edition Family Ties and some green and Kraft cs.  Then I decided to make a matching lolly embellishment using my bakers twine,like the way it turned out and finished off with some die cuts and gems.
