Pollycraft Monday Challenge #29 & PTW - Christmas crackers

This week I decided it was time to join in with the Pollycraft Monday challenge as I have been quietly collecting the friday freebies and this week I have used a few of them in my crafting so I thought why not. This weeks theme is Wonderful Christmas Time so I used the wonderful Santa image which I coloured with copics, papers are My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter, the sentiment is from the Dottie & George Bumper christmas collection available at Charmed Cards & Crafts and the leaves were in my stash. This is also for the PaperTake Weekly challenge which is Christmas crackers. TFL Hope to get some crafting done tomorrow as we are having a power outage for the day so cant do the hw - what a shame! lol

PaperTake Weekly - Sketch #28

Well this card that I am using for the PTW challenge started off rather wrong! The fabulous image is another from the Tales of Pollycraft Blog (a Friday freebie) and is called Bronson & Beaker, it such a cute image I coloured with copics starting with the blues then wasnt sure what colour to use next and didnt want red or green so decided on orange and was pleased with the result til I realised they werent really christmas colours and then I panicked about what papers I would be able to use, so after a hunt thru my papers I found this pp which was sent to me and thankfully the rest just fell into place and I am actually really pleased with the end result. I also added some stickles and glitz it glue (well you cant not can you?! lol) Anyway hope you like it too. TFL

Dotties World - red, black & white

Great challenge over at Dotties World and gorgeous DT work (as always!) My background paper is some I had sent to me and it is glittered, the mats are cut with a nestie out of red shiny card and black card, the black card has been embossed with a fiskars snowflake plate (but it doesnt really show in the pics) I have used the gorgeous christmas pixie image coloured with copics and then added flowersoft too. The sentiment is from the Dottie & George Bumper Christmas collection cut out with a nestie then a circle of the red card added and a white brad. Kept the design simple as I wanted the colours to do the 'talking'. TFL

Dotties World Challenge - Around the World & Sketch & Stash 23

This week over at Dotties World the challenge is to add something foreign well this got me thinking and then I remembered this christmas text paper in a digi kit called Love & Joy by Stolen Moments so I used that for my base and thought Santas Pretty Helper from the Charming Christmas collection would work well, I wanted to add texture to the green panel and while I was looking thru my embossing folders found the snowy scene one then I just added some ribbon from my stash, inked the edges of the image and added frosted lace stickles to all the 'fluffy' bits, and my card is based on the sketch over at Sketch & Stash and for this challenge the image has to be my newest bit of stash as all the rest has been in my possession for ages! TFL

2 challenges but not a card

The challenge this week over at MTTC was to have a tag somewhere on your project and mine are the dogtags in the top left corner, and over at PaperTake Weekly the challenge was to include something digi and my whole p0roject is a digi layout. The layout is inspired by the poem which my dd Ria has written for a piece of english homework. The papers and elements are from a kit called Remember by Lilybelle and was a freebie collection from 2007. If you click on the picture you should get a version big enough to read the poem. TFL
