Sketch & Stash Challenge #27 & MTTC #76 Elegant Rose

Again only just making it in time for the challenge over at Sketch & Stash (and I've had 2 weeks!), great sketch and I have combined it with the challenge over at My Time To Craft which this week is Elegant Rose. My new stash is the Build a Rose stamp set from the Papermania Signature range, this is stamped on to pink coredinations cs and the leaves are also coredinations, the papers are Papermania Blueberry Hill and the gems are from my stash. TFL and now its time I wasnt here as its back to work on an early tomorrow which is going to be difficult after having a week off!lol

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #32 Fire & Ice & SCSC #68 Hearts

I almost didnt make it for the challenge over at Pollycraft Monday Challenge which is Fire & Ice (or red & white) so I chose to use one of the Pollycraft freebie images 'sausage dog couple' and coloured it with my copics then matted it on some red card then some papermania paper and more red card. Inked the edges of each layer then added a bloom and sentiment from my stash. This card also fits the challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is hearts. TFL

Club Anya & Friends - Saturday Sketch

Well having only just started to follow the goings on over at Club Anya and Friends here I am with another card this time for their Saturday Sketch. The image is Hello Ian which my great bogging buddy Sammi sent me some time ago and I have been practicing my copic colouring with him and when I saw the sketch I knew I had to use him. Also used some scraps from my drawers and added a little leaf charm which I have had for ages and some little adhesive stones coloured with copics. TFL

Dotties World - Leaf It

Over at Dotties World Louise set the challenge and it went like this ... Are you all tired of seeing cold bare trees? I sure am so this week I want you all to encourage spring to come early! I want to see leaves on your creations. They could be paper ones, fabric ones stamped or even real ones! The only other rule is that you use a Charmed download :) Great Challenge Lou. Now I have been meaning to use this image of Madison on Safari for ages along with the background paper so this challenge gave me the ideal opportunity. Cant take credit for the colouring as it is a pre coloured image, the sentiment was done on the pc and the little giraffe eyelet I have had for ages, I bought a pack of wild animal ones to use for scrapping the many visits to animal parks that Ria has made! Anya Ink - No Patterned Paper & Spoon Full Of Sugar - Freestyle

Well this weeks challenge over at Anya Ink was a good one and really made me stop and think! No patterned paper (unless we made it ourselves) It took me a while to think of something and in the end I went for texture instead. The Image is the delightful Dressy Ebony coloured with copics (have been watching some of the masses of tutorials and tried to have a go at blending more with the hair and skin, hasnt worked as well as I would have liked but the practice will do me good!lol) CS is all coredinations and have used several different embossing folders, the little orange flower and charms I have had in my stash for ages bought a set of 6 for £1. I also am using this card to meet the challenge over at Spoon Full of Sugar as the challenge there is Freestyle. Now this card looks nice and quick and simple but actually it took me ages deciding on the placement of the rectangles I moved them around on my desk for ages before finally deciding on this arrangement!lol. TFL

I'm also very excited as I ordered a Bind-It-All tonight! Wanted one for a while and Adrian tried to get one at a local shop for christmas but couldnt get there till Christmas Eve at 2pm and they had shut at 1! and today he finished work early to get there again only to find that they have taken the 3 they have to an exhibition this weekend! He was not a happy bunny to say the least as he was trying so hard to surprise me for my birthday tomorrow so he said go ahead and order it on line at least you'll know your getting it! So I have done and Ria has paid for some wires to go with it for me so now I just have to wait patiently (Or not!!!!lol)

Stamp Something - Funny Something & Sketch Saturday #87

The challenge over at Stamp Something was to make something funny - well I adore this image of Scruff in the bath which was a freebie from Dotties World and I thought that the sentiment just worked perfectly and is from the Girls About Town collection available at Charmed Cards & Crafts and then I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and turned it round 90 degrees. The paper is part of a digi kit that I have had lying around in the drawer for ages and it is made by Digi Designs By Nicole. I embossed the cs with swiss dots and then added some clear epoxy stickers to the corners and then a few randomly placed ones to continue with the bubbles. TFL

Club Anya & Friends - Wildcard Wednesday - Metal Mania

Well this cute little image is Prince Ian and is from The Greeting Farm relay which unfortunately has had to be cancelled due to the overwellming volume of entrants which kept causing the site to crash. It was fun to take part. Anyway I decided that I would use the image to take part in the Wildcard Wednesday challenge over at Club Anya & Friends instead where the challenge was to use metal. I have used a little metal bookplate which I have had in my stash for years, papers are K-Ology Addison and all the other bits are from my stash. Image is of course coloured using copics with the addition of sparkly black sakura for his boots. TFL

TFL

Whoo hoo, another day of The Greeting Farm CHA relay completed and the image for today is the very cute Toby Cub coloured with copics (of course!) and matted onto some coredinations cs the patterned cs is some from a pack I bought several years ago with some little books and the sentiment is a rubon freebie from a magazine from way back! I wonder what tomorrows image will be. TFL

PaperTake Weekly - Pretty Pink

So the challenge over at PaperTake Weekly was for the project to be predominantly pink so I have used up some scraps of paper and used Miss Anya from the dressy collection coloured with copics and a touch of sakura glaze, the gold cs and peeloff are from my stash. TFL Kept this simple are the near misses with my previous card! lol

The Greeting Farm - CHA Relay - day 2

Yipeeeee! I completed day 1 in time and now I have the second image from The Greeting Farm and have had great fun (and a few near misses!) making my card for the 2nd part of the relay. The image is Charlotte - aint she a little cutie. I have coloured her in using copic, I made 2 and flipped 1 so that when the image spins she is still looking exactly the same (1 near miss there!lol) The papers are K & Co classic K Mckenna, and once I had mounted the image in the middle (another near miss!) I decided there was too much white so added the sheet inside the card too. Shapes are cut with Nesties ten I added some little pink roses from my stash and some leaves cut with a punch. I'm pleased with the overall effect but was a bit of a headache getting there! lol So this means providing I add this to the gallery over at TGF and post a link on there blog tomorrow before 6pm I should get the next image, cant wait to find out what it will be. TFL

The Greeting Farm - CHA Relay

The Greeting Farm blog is holding a digi relay while they are at the CHA this week and basically you get the chance to get hold of 5 yes 5 digi images but inorder to get them you must take part each day and complete your card/project by the deadline and post in the gallery and on the blog in order to get the next freebie image - how cool is that. Well I love my Miss Anya images and I have been lurking at the Greeting Farm but not taken part in any of the challenges (until I messed up yesterday!lol) so I thought as I'm on leave this week I'd give the relay ago so here is my first card using todays freebie image which is Mer-Ian. I enjoyed making this card and tried to do something a bit different which I havent dared to try yet but have seen others do and really liked the effect so yes I coloured the hair blue! and actually I really like it!lol (remember having a go at doing this to myself once upon a time!lol didnt look that good!lol) The background is a digi one from Raspberry Road and the little bit is some shiny textred stuff that I have had for ages as is the fish. I have coloured Ian with copics and then used sakura clear stardust to outline his tail and hair for an extra bit of shimmer. TFL and fingers crossed that Ican manage all the cards this week.

Dotties World - Monochromatic - white

The challenge this week over at Dotties World went like this - It is my turn to deceide this week, and I tried to make an easy challenge this time. I want monochromatic and the color to use is WHITE - you can use from the lightest white to ivory and cream. And for a special extraI want you to use a small touch of the lightest brown. Your charmed ones is allowed to have skin and hair colors. A Charmed Download is a must, so don`t forget that one. Have fun with this one.Gunn:-) Well I didnt find it easy actually! lol The DT cards are all so fantastic. I went thru all my downloads (theres only 1 set I dont have yet!) and looked at each image trying to decide which one to use andfinally decided upon Ballerina Dottie from the Dress Up collection, papers were hard too, really had to go thru my stash and found the basket weave cs and some printed vellum which I tore and inked, not sure the design shows up in the pic but its got a little flower pattern on it, her dress and shoes are coloured with my sakura white gel pen and the rest is copics, flowers and brads are all from my stash and her tutu is polar white flower soft. Great challenge Gunn, loved it. TFL Oh and I almost forgot to mention that there is a prize this week of a £10 voucher to use at Charmed Cards and Crafts its going to be picked randomly from all the entries to the challenge so fingers crossed! Good luck everyone.

Spoon Full Of Sugar #87 - Lots of Layering - think I got about 6 or 7 different layers on.

A quick birthday gift

Well today I got home from work at 5.30 full of a cold and having done a training day only for Ria to let me know that one of her friends has a birthday tomorrow and I could I possibly make something for her! lol talk about short notice! So we had tea and then I took her to scouts and got to thinking all I had to go on was she likes SpongeBob Square Pants and dogs! REALLY helpful! lol Anyway in the end I remembered having this little clip it picture frame in my photo box so made that my starting point, picked some nice bright glittery paper to line the frame then coloured with copics and a Daisy image and mounted her to the front of the glass and gave her a little metal daisy, added a couple of fabric blooms from my stash and then stamped her name inside on the paper. This way she can add her own photo any time she wants. Ria is really pleased with it and then says have you got another frame coz its Fennes birthday on Wednesday and she'd love something like this - unfortunately not so as Fenne is crafty I am putting together a little scrapbook kit to go with a little 5x7 mini album I bought for myself when they were on offer. Thank fully the next birthday isnt until the 30th so I have more time to prepare! Kids huh?! lol Thankfully we have a good selection of cards at the ready! TFL

Sketch & Stash Challenge #26

I have used the sketch over at Sketch & Stash this time to make a digi scrapbook page. My new stash is the digi kit, which is a freebie from the very talented Vicki Parker aka A Work In Progress, she really does make some awesome kits. The pic is one I took recently before all the snow when we had a hard frost, I had difficulty getting close to the washing line to get some pics as the ground was soooo icy! The webs (there were several of them) looked so much better irl! lol TFL On target so far for my 'scrapbook page a fortnight' too! lol

Dotties World - A Sketch

This week over at Dotties World its a sketch and a great sketch too. I have used the pre-coloured Fun Time image from the Boy Oh Boy collection available at Charmed Cards & Crafts. I stuck with the pre-coloured image as it suited my paper choice which are Papermania For Him with the addition of some orange organza ribbon and a cream peeloff which I coloured with my copics to match the colour scheme. TFL

Anya Ink - One layer Card

What a great challenge Anya Ink laid down for us this week - One Layer Cards. Simple as that, one piece of card. No not so simple!lol I struggled to come up with an idea for this and all the DT examples were gorgeous so after much umming and ahhing I thought I'd keep it simple and used my fiskars mini shape boss which I bought when I first started getting into card making and used for a while then it went in a drawer and got forgotten. I only have one shape sheet for it but rather liked the corner design and then my card evolved from there. I highlighted parts of the design with clear sakura stardust for a little emphasis and decided to keep Miss Anyas fairly simple too so stuck with mainly black & white then added the pink when I remembered the peel off sentiments I had. I must say that although it was a struggle to begin with I'm actually pleased with the result and may try this idea again. So thanks Anya Ink for a great challenge that really made me stop and think. TFL (excuse the photo I had to lie the card down on the desk to get a decent pic to show the embossing)

SCSC #65 A Sketch

Over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week is a sketch, I like the sketch but had problems deciding what to do and once I had chosen my image which is Do Crafts Daffodill charity stamp I changed my mind so many times over the papers it very nearly didnt happen at all! The paper I chose in the end is from a digi kit but at the mo I cant remember which one as it was a bit that was in my scraps drawer! the cs is coredinations which I embossed and I coloured the flower with my copics to match the image. Not my favourite card! lol TFL

MTTC - Blue & Brown and Sketch Saturday # 85

I have again managed to combine 2 challenges this time they are My Time To Craft - Blue & Brown and Sketch Saturday #85. I really like blue and brown as a colour combo and I have managed to use some more of my scraps and oddments with this card. The paper is from a digi kit by Raspberry Road but I cant remember the name of it at the moment but I recall printing of several sheets from the kit and not knowing which ones I was going to use at the time andthis piece obviously didnt make it so got put in the draw for another time (I do that a lot! lol) The cs is old pieces that have been sat around too. Ribbon, gems button and bloom are all from my stash, I coloured the bloom with copic to match the card and added sakura stardust to the wooden button so that it matched the flower in th e image which is from the Daisy & Dandelion range coloured with copics and sakuras, sentiment is also from the same range. TFL

Combined 2 challenges again for this card. A winter birthday for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge and used the sketch from Stamp Something. My image is Aquarius Dottie from the Zodiac Collection. Dotties World - B ring out the old B ring in the new

Over at Dotties World this week Adele set the challenge and it went like this .. As we have entered a New Year I would like you to look back at your "Crafts of the Past" dig out something from your stash, blow off the dust and put it to use with a new item that you have recently bought or been given as a pressie! As long as you use a Charmed Download, the rest is up to you. So I dug out some very old papermania paper, the blue is a scrap and the red was cut from a whole sheet so still using up scraps! The new is the copic pen B24 which I used to colour the bloom and the leaf punch is also new. The image is from the Front to Back collection and she has been coloured using wc pencils and sakura pens. Stupidly I forgot to stick her either side of a piece of acetate so ended up having to laminate her!lol TFL

Yep you read it right I have managed to combine 5 challenges in 1 card mainly because it would seem that the 'New' year has been a major theme so without further ado here are the challenges I have made this card for:

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - theme of 'New' - new baby

Stamp Something - use something new - Copic G00, leaf punch, sentiment tag

CCT #93 Sketchtastic & ABC - L is for Layering

I have combined 2 challenges with this card. Cute Card Thursday was a sketch and over at ABC it is L is for Layering so these 2 challenges seemed to go so well together. The papers are Dovecraft A hint of Pink by Kate Knight and are a couple of scrap pieces left over from another project! The pink cs is some that I bought ages ago and had forgotten about till I was having a sort out the other day!lol, Ribbon, blooms, brad and sentiment are all from my stash. TFL

PaperTake Weekly - Sketch #31

The sketch this week over at PaperTake Weekly I have used to do a scrapbook page as I have challenged myself to make one once a fortnight! The picture is of my dd Ria and it was taken on Christmas day in the afternoon when we went for a walk at West Bay. I have edited the picture in PSE5 and removed most of the colour apart from the colour of Ria (I'm still learning about all these different things I can do with my pics!lol) The papers are Raspberry Road Designs a digi freebie kit called Oceans Apart, title was done on the pc and the blooms are from my stash. I was very tempted to try and fill the empty space at the top but decided to go with the 'white space' trend, I think I like it lol. TFL

Dotties World - Its A Girl Thing & Copics Colour Challenge #45

Well after a pretty uneventful afternoon at work (this is a good thing!) I came home tonight and thought I'd colour an image ready for a Dotties World challenge and ended up making the whole card and combining it with the Copics Colour Challenge! The image is Madison with a gift (I'm running out of black ink so it has printed it in grey but actually I quite like that!) used my copics the challenge colours were YG03, BV02 & B93 - well I had BV02 but not the others so I used the closest ones and a few more so the ones I actually used are: Y15,17, BV02,04 YG23, B95, 45, R00,02 & 11 then I coloured my sentiment with BV08. Papers are all from my scrap drawers and are a digi piece from a kit by A Work In Progress I think it was called Lilys Garden and the other is papermania, the image is printed on a piece of white offcut and the green is a scrap of coredinations, all the other bits were in my stash. So this card meets with my challenge to use up some scraps too!lol TFL

HAPPY NEW YEAR! and a scrapbook page

Yes it is 2010 so a very happy new year to you all and may 2010 bring you all that you wish for. I have just finished this simple scrapbook page but the idea behind it was to set myself some challenges for the year and not resolutions (they always get broken early on!!LOL!!) It will interesting to look back on the challenges after the 12 months is up but I will probably revisit them during the year just to see how I'm getting on. TFL
