Totally Gorjuss #58 ~ Oh Christmas Tree

This was a very quick card to make and I think I shall be making more like this with slight differences.  Papers used are papermania and MME Wonderful Winter with glitter, some self adhesive ribbon (had for absolutely ages) and the image is actually a freebie glue image that I had on a magazine probably a couple of years ago now that I never got round to using so decided today was the day and then I used a deep red glitter to echo some of the red trees on the background.  This card was made for the challenge this week over at Totally Gorjuss where the theme is Trees.

Look what the Postie bought

Much to OH's disappointment the Postman delivered me a parcel! and on his birthday too!lol!  It was a parcel from America from Cat of Cats Craftivity Corner.  I entered the challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge and they had loads of candy available on a blog hop and I won the candy on Cats blog.  It really is some totally awesome crafting goodies and I spent yesterday afternoon stroking it and you can expect to see some of it on my projects real soon.  So huge THANKS to Cat, love it all.

Now feast your eyes!

Awesome huh?

Birhtday card for the OH

This is a card I made for my OH Ade, whose birthday was yesterday.  I have used a fab image that was a freebie a while ago from Pollycraft Designs, he is just so cute and I coloured him up using copics.  The sentiment is TGF from the Spotlight Set and I added the big brad to the a in happiest to make it hoppiest!, paper is papermania and the little blue flowers are from my stash then I punched out a couple of flower pots and finally added a little green worm brad from my stash.

I didnt make this card for any specific challenges but have since found that it fits with the following challenges - yipee!:

OSAAT #39 ~ Your favourite colour

Ok so this week the challenge over at OSAAT was to use your favourite colour, so I did, purple!  I also used an image by Card Mad Fairy that I won a little while ago at OSAAT.  I coloured the image with my copics and added some glitter glue, the paper is Papermania (one of their christmas packs from a couple of years ago I think) the largeer flowers were cut using a floral punch and then the floral shape and embosser punch, to the centre I added some flowers from my stash and some glitter glue and finished off with a peeloff sentimet.

Dotties World ~ Anything Goes ~ RED

Another fabulous challenge over at Dotties World, and you dont have to use a charmed digi stamp but if you do you can enter twice.  So I decided to use a cute little image from the Sugar & Spice collection.  I used a pre coloured one and then changed the colour of her dress using wc pencils to suit the theme of RED and to match with the background paper which is from my scrap drawer and I dont know what make it is, sorry.  I have teamed the image up with a fab freebie sentiment from Sentimental Sundays.  The flowers are from my stash I actually got the red ones on a long stem from Wilkinsons and then I took them apart!, leaves are a punch and the card candy I changed to black using my trust copics!  When I first laid this card out I had the image and sentiment straight (last night) and then this morning after I had moved a couple of bits around on my desk I discovered the image and sentiment had moved on the card and I actually preferred them this way! just as well I was too tired last night to stick them down lol

Anyone For Anya ~ Vintage White

Well I had to ponder on this card for a while before it came together, but it got there!  It is for the challenge over at Anyone For Anya this week which is Vintage White, which I hope I have managed to acheive.  The image is TGF Camille who is coloured with copics.  CS is coredinations the music paper I think is Joanna Sheen and I'm not sure about the other paper (I've had it a while!) flowers, brads and ribbon from my stash.

Crafty Sentiments # 44 ~ Red & Black

This week at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog we have a colour challenge for you of RED & BLACK.  For my card I dug out some papermania paper from way back for the base then I used some red hollographic card for the mat.  My image is Pat In Summer and I gave her a party feeling by adding glitter to her top and shoes and by giving her a 2tone hair colour.  The sentiment is a silver peeloff which I coloured red and then I added a gold peeloff to the edge of the circle, the ribbon is self adhesive which I have had for a couple of years and then I finsihed off with some red and black flowers that I bought at Creative Stitches.

Now dont forget to check out what my other team mates have been up to this week, you wont be disappointed and then why not join us in the challenge, pop over and check it out and check out the fabulous prize that is on offer too,  'Go on You know You want to!'

My latest digi lo

This lo has been done for the challenges over at the Scrap That Idea forum, I missed the last one and have very nearly missed this one too!  Vicki gave us all a fabulous kit called Spice Of Life and we had to use more than 1 photo, practice clustering and use the alpha that comes with the kit in some way.  The kit is so gorgeous and bright and full of wonderful elements so I enjoyed putting this one together tho my clustering skills still need more practice!  The pictures are off course of DD Ria and she was climbing one of her favourite trees at Cobham Hall.  TFL

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #84

Over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge this week the idea is to take our inspiration from one of the DT cards, now this wasnt easy as there are plenty of great cards to take inspiration from so in the end I opted for the sketch provided by Cheri.  I rotated the sketch for my card because it suited my image to do that.  The cs is coredinations (3 shades of pink even though it almost looks red in the pink it is actually a deep pink colour!) I embossed 2 pieces using a fiskar texture plate, the pink organza ribbon and brads are all from my stash.  The image is a Lilli of the Valley stamp 'Lineart Snowman' which I won back last year.  I stamped it with versamark ink and then used irridescent mica pigment to 'colour' it and then added a little peeloff sentiment to finish the card off.  Hope you like it.

Bonfire Night Digi lo

Well I actually made this lo for the Bonfire NIght Challenge over at Pear Tree Desigins but I hadnt realised their challenge closed at 4pm Doh! Still its a lo I wanted to do anyway so no problem.  I have used elements from various digi kits by designers over at Scrap That Idea.  The paper is just a black background and then I used a photoshop daily brush for the stardurst on it.  I took loads of photos on Friday night but alot werent as good as I would have liked so I used some of the best ones here, also got some pics of the fire itself but not sure of the best way to scrap them yet so they will come along at a later date.

Thanks for looking.

Crafty Sentiments # 42 ~ Make a gift

Hello again, well its Thursday so that means its a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Designs and with Christmas just around the corner what better challenge than to make a gift!  This certainly took a bit of thinking and in the end I decided on a calendar.  The actual calendar pages I did by doing a table in 'word' then printed them out onto white cs leaving a space for adding some decoration.  I thought it would be a good way of using up my scraps and also for using different images, techniques and embellishments.  (I have to admit I havent finished decorating all the individual pages but have got as far as April!) The stand and front cover are made from mountboard (free!!!) which I have covered and its all put together with my trusty Bind It All.  I have used Christams Amy for the front cover coloured with copics, she is sitting there waiting to see what the coming year has to offer!  It has been great fun to work out and put together and not sure who is going to receive it as a giftbut having done one I would certainly do another but possibly a little smaller and maybe digitally decorated to - you never know, watch this space! lol

So thats the front cover and a side view and now for a couple of the pages where I have used Crafty Sentiments Design images.  January uses Daisy coloured in with copics and sakura stardust, paper is papermania and the text is using a sizzlits die.  Then April uses Flopsy in the rain, again coloured with copics and some stardust mounted onto silver mirriboard which has been embossed with a fiskar texture plate of raindrops.  Sometimes when the light catches it right you get a rainbow effect in the mirriboard! Dont forget all the  images are available from the Crafty Sentiments Design Store.

So what are you waiting for?  Hop on over to the Crafty Sentiments Designs Blog and join in this weeks fun challenge, all the details are there including the fabulous prize that is up for grabs this week.  'Go on You know You want to!' and while you are at it leave some love for the other ladies of the DT as they have worked their magic and provided some amazing inspiration for you all again this week.

Creative Inspirations #84 colour challenge

When I was checking out the challenges around this week this one over at Creative Inspirations to use Brown, Sage & Cream caught my eye as its not colours I tend to use very much together and I really wanted to give it a try so here is my card.  My main cs is actually cream and is shiny (didnt know they were shiny when I bought them! lol) the other pieces of brown cs are from my scraps drawers, I cut them with a wavy edge using my rotary purple cows trimmer that I got at Creative Stitches (first time I've used it!), the green gingham organza ribbon I have had in my box for ages and the little flowers are also from Creative Stitches.  The sentiment is a freebie from Sentimental Sundays.  This card is different for me (no image) but I like how it turned out and I have some more wonderful sentiments from Sentimental Sundays too! lol

A glittery creation

When I was at Creative Stitches I treated myself to glitter!  Now previously I didnt really use glitter very much but always liked the look of it so thought I would take the plunge and got a whole load (never could do things by half me! lol)  I have been using and enjoying it.  I also got some preprinted acetate sheets with various images on and I have used one for this card.  It is a butterfly and I have mounted it between the cardstock and some blue glittery card, Took me a while to get it lined up properly so that the aperture was thru both bits of cs.  Then I used my xcut border cutting system with xcut and Tonic Studio punches to give the scalloped edges and the utterflies.  The whole card really is quite sparkly but that is difficult to show in a photo but I hope you get the idea.

Crafty Sentiments # 41 ~ card for a male

Did you enjoy the Crafty Sentiments Blog Hop last week. I know we all did and 2 people were lucky winners.  So now its Thursday again and challenge time.  This week we are looking for cards for the men in our lives and the DT have made some wonderful cards so be sure to check them all out.  For mine I have used Mike, one of the new Christmas releases (available in the Crafty Sentiments Design Store), I've coloured him with copics and added a gem to the parcel he is holding on to.  The papers are from a digi kit called Summertime Blues by A Work In Progress and I have inked all the pieces and also torn around the image.  I finished off by adding some smaller gems and a peel off sentiment.  I so hope you will join us this week in our challenge, 'Go on You know You Want to!' check out all the details over at the Crafty Sentiments Blog along with the details of what prize is up for grabs this week.

Anyone For Anya ~ Halloween

Now I like playing along at Anyone for Anya whenever I get the chance but felt a bit stumped this week as the challenge is Halloween and I dont have any TGF Halloween stamps or even the Creepy crew ones but not one to be put off by a challenge I put my thinking cap on and dived into PSE 5 and did a bit of playing around with my digi stamps and actually combined stamps from 2 of my collections.  The first image is Charlotte  who is TGF and then I used the pumpkin part of Dottie from the Charmed Cards & Crafts downloads Halloween collection.  I wasnt sure when I started out if this was going to work but I think it has.  Coloured the completed image with copics and decided to be a bit daring and give Charlotte green hair!.  The papers are from a digi kit called Halloween Hoax by Raspberry Road Designs, flowers are from my stash, leaves are punched and the brads I coloured with copics as I didnt have any orange ones.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

OSAAT ~ any celebration

I really like the images over at Stitchy Bear Stamps and have been lucky enough to have won some (great when money is tight! lol)  I adore Butterfly Love and really wanted to use her again but wanted to try and do something a bit different so in PSE 5 I had a bit of a play around and ended up removing the wings and a few other bits and here she is.  You can still recognise her as Butterfly Love and I really hope you dont mind what I did Stitchy.  This is something I really love about digi stamps they are so versatile.  Anyway I coloured her with copics in festive red & green.  The background is a piece of coredinations whitewash cs which I embossed with a new folder by 'Bringing Crafts-Too you' which I got recently in Exeter.  Aftr embossing I lightly sanded the cs to get some of the colour to show thru and the sentiments is cuts from the same cs but reversed to give the colour using a sizzix die.  I'm actually very pleased with how this turned out and can see some similar cards to this on the horizon.

Yes another one!

Thats another Christmas card ticked off my list!  For this card I have kept it simple and relied on the embossing and glitter to do the talking.  The fabulous Snowman image is from Crafty Sentiments Design and is a digi image and I have actually removed a few bits for this card.  I have added colour using my copics and stardust glitter pens and then finished off by covering the snowman in crystal glamour dust, unfortunately it doesnt show very well in the picture but it is sat here on my desk sparkling away!  The snow falling in the background is actually irridescent mica pigment.  I have used swiss dots embossing folder from cuttlebug and snowflake texture plate from fiskars - think I'd be lost with out my big shot! the snowflake eyelets were a recent purchase.
