For this weeks challenge over at Dotties World I wanted to have a go at something different for me, I've seen this style of card about and really liked them so thought I'd give it a try. It looked like it shouldn't be too difficult but I seem to have made it difficult! lol Anyway here it is, the background paper is Raspberry Road Designs - Surreal and the fencing at the front is from George & The Dragon by A Work in Progress. The image is of course Holly in the Garden (another image I hadnt yet used) buttons are Amy Butler and the flowers and wire were in my stash and the little flower pots are an xcut punch I got in the sale a couple of weeks ago at half price. TFL.

CCT challenge # 61 Sporting Chance
When the challenge this week was Sporting Chance over at CCT I was spoilt for choice as to which image I was going to use and eventually I chose a wonderful Dottie image from Charmed Cards & Crafts which I havent actually managed to use yet, Swimming Dottie from the Fun Time Dottie collection. I coloured her using sakura glaze pens to try and give an impression of beign wet, the paper is papermania which I have had forever and after ripping and sticking I decided to edge wtih stickles 'frosted lace'. The fact that the mat and image are behind the 'waves' was by accident when I was moving them round trying to decide on placement the mat just slipped so I decided to go with it. Couldnt find a suitable sentiment so just added this in my own writing using a stardust pen and the flowers and brad are from my stash. TFL

MTTC #62 Love & marriage
For this weeks challenge over at MTTC I have used a quote from the wonderful download 'Love & Marriage' by Sammi of Crafty Muse. It is such a lovely quote that I wanted to keep my card fairly simple. I cant remember whose the paper is I found in my draw of oddments then I printed the quote on some pale vellum and it is held in place with some gold outliners and I added the sentiment cherish at the bottom of the card. I guess the card be used for wedding or anniversary. TFL
Right thats me done for the night, I'm off for a cuppa and then to bed as I've got an early tomorrow so I might just get back here tomorrow night if I get anything made in the evening. Bye for now. x
A digi layout for a challenge
Over at Stacey's Scraps she is running a challenge from 25 May thru to 29 May and it is a template challenge. There is a prize of $20 to spend in her store too. Well as I havent done any scrapping for a while I thought this would be a good excuse. You have to use 90 percent of her kit/s on your layout, well mine is all hers using her freebie kit My Guy. The photos are of Ade but he hates his pic taken so have blurred his features to be able to upload this and the wonderful skate he caught back in March. TFL

PTW Dawnys Sketch #15
For the sketch over at PTW I decided to use one of the beautiful Miss Anya images I won in the blog candy of Jennifer, I coloured her in using whispers pens and sakura stardust pens but the glitteryness (dont think thats a real word but never mind!lol) of it doesnt really show in the pic. Papers and s/a ribbon are papermania. I think I now have about 5 christmas cards made! TFL
Ria has a friend over tonight and they are watching 'Twilight' snuggled up on their duvets, lights out and a big bowl of toffee popcorn, lets hope it tires them out, not sure I need to be listening to 2 giggling 12 year olds well into the night! Having worked the weekend I'm now looking forward to having the day off tomorrow. Hope everyone else is having a relaxing long weekend. x

Dotties World Loyalty Award
Here is what you have to do to be in with a chance of winning the Loyalty Award ... On to todays little treat...Over the past year hundreds of visitors have entered our challenges and we've enjoyed visiting every last one of them. We would love to be able to reward all of you but we would have to take out a second mortgage to do it! So we are are going to give a prize from the candy stash to the person who can prove they have entered the most challenges. Now then, when I say prove I mean we need to be able to easily count the Dottie's World challenges that a person has entered in order to declare them the winner.
Ok I didnt put lables on my entries so I have had to go through by blog posts and find them all out and lable them (now labelled with Dotties World Challenge) it has taken me a while and just so as I could be sure I went over to Dotties World to check out how many challenges there have been well it says 48 but actually I reckoned it to be 52 (a whole years worth) and after trawling thru my blog all evening I have actually taken part in 47 of the 52! (some of them twice but I didnt count them!lol)
But what also surprised me was the amount of times I have actually used a charmed download in my card making, more times than I havent I think! So all I can say is keep 'em coming, the downloads and the challenges. My card making wouldnt be what it is if it werent for you! x
Good luck to everyone x

Crafty Muse Challenge - May Day: Love , Romance & Flowers
Well this card came together by accident! I was tidying (yes tidying!) my desk space and had some left over paper that I had printed of Baileys Room by Raspberry Road Designs and I was about to cut some waste out of a piece of card and suddenly I thought Ooo this might look good on a card and so my card was born! and it fits with the Crafty Muse challenge this week too. The image is the 'delectable' Annie Sitting Pretty from Charmed Cards & Crafts coloured with Whispers pens, sentiment is Daisy & Dandelion flowers and brads from my stash. TFL
3 challenges in 1 card
I've surprised myself this time and managed to make 1 card that covers 3 challenges, this wasnt intentional, it started as a Kids Kard for MTTC and then I added teh No. 5 and realised this fitted with letters & numbers over at CCT and then finally my little Amy Butler buttons fitted with teh Buttons Galore challenge over at Spoon Full of Sugar. The papers are Raspberry Road Designs Baileys Room kit, flowers, peeloffs and cs from my stash and the image is the very cute Squeak from the Daisy and Dandelion range, who has been coloured using whispers pens. TFL Have you been over to Dotties World yet today and played Spot The Difference? Its great fun!

SCSC #32 Glitter
Well the challenge over at SCSC this week is Glitter and I thought this fitted nicely with a page I am doing in a CJ. I have used coredinations gemstone cs (glittery) and I have then used a sakura glitter pen around the edge of the cs cloak and also I have used digi glitter as an element on my page. The paper and elements are from a digi freebie collab kit by A Work In Progress (Vicki, I adore this lady's work) and Sweet Blossom Designs (Sara another very talented designer) You can find them both at the Scrap That Idea store. The CJ is actually a story about the adventures a little boy has so in my part he is a wizard, hope he enjoys the book when it gets home. I have just received my completed book back which is for Ria and is called The Birthday Surprise and it is amazing. Anyway I digress. TFL thats it for tonight but roll on tomorrow for Dotties World birthday party week!
Dotties World Challenge - Charming
This weeks challenge was to use a charm on your creation along with a Charmed digi stamp of course. I opted for Handy George as I had bought some little tool charms some time ago in the cheapy shop (6 for £1). Coloured George using Whispers and sakuras, mounted on to cs embossed with BS texture plate, the papers and arrow stickers are papermania For Him collection and the sentiment was a free stamp on the latest edition of Creativity magazine. Unfortunately cant link to the original post as Dotties World is closed for refurbishments but reopens tomorrow for a week long party to celebrate being 1. See you all there, I'm looking forward to all the fun and so is Ria! TFL

ABC challenge N = Not a card
Ok so over ABC Challenge blog the challenge is Not a card for N so I thought I'd give ATCs a try. I bought some blanks recently but hadnt plucked up the courage til now, so after work I got busy thinking and playing and this is what I came up with, not 1 but 2 little football themed ATCs. They both use Onion from the Daisy and Dandelion range. The net for the GOAL! one was made by running it through the BS with the mosaic CB embossing folder then I ran the ink pad over the debossed side, I'm actually pleased with the result it worked like I pictured it in my mind (thats got to be a first!lol) the images are coloured using wc pencils or whispers pens and the little boots have been heat embossed then I've used sakura glaze pens to fill them. they were fun to do! TFL

I'm having problems ...
... leaving comments for all you lovely people out there. I go and visit you all, see all your amazing work, try and think of something to put, go to write it and it becomes unresponsive, I've lost count of the number of times tonight that I have had to start again. So please know that I am visiting and loving all your creative works of art and hopefully this problem will resolve itself very soon. Thanks and huge hugs to you all. xx
Another 2 challenges in 1 card again!
This time I am using this card for the ABC M is for Metallic and for the Happy Mail challenge over at CCT The CCT challenge has an additonal twists and asks you to consider posting you card to a child via Post Pals which I will certainly be doing. Well here is my card I have used 'delectable' charmed stamp Annie sitting pretty coloured with wc pencils and whispers pens, I stamped and embossed her first but mistakenly used silver pearl powder instead of clear! I think it still looks alright. My background is made using a digi collab kit called George & the Dragon by A work in Progress and LouCeeCreations, (its a fab kit) I have used paper and elements from this kit by both designers. I added the swing by using some cs a couple of metallic brads and some metallic wire. I am pleased with the result and hope that who ever I decide to send it too will also like it. TFL
2 challenges in 1
After sitting and thnking hard about the sketch by DawnyP over at PTW I just couldnt get anything to go so I decided I would save the fabulous sketch for another time so went to check out Spoon Full Of Sugar and their challenge was 'touchy feely' and this idea just jumped out of my head and it meant I could combine the 2 challenges! So here is my card using the beautiful 'delectable' charmed stamp of 'Angel Annie' coloured with wc pencils and whispers pens with some added sparkle to her wings. (I have now used all 6 stamps!), cs is coredinations and the light blue has been embossed with swiss dots andthen for more texture I have used some fluffy white feathers and believe me when I say they are fluffy I now have tiny bits of fluff floating round my craft room, not to mention glitter!!! LOL then I've added a dimensional snowflake sticker too. TFL I enjoyed this one and am pleased with the result seeing as I struggled at first.

Dotties world Challenge - inspiration pic
The photo that Lousie chose to inspire us with over at Dotties World was amazing and had inspired everyone in different ways but all equally amazing. Well I racked my brains for days and days and this is what I finally came up with! The colours in the pick and their pattern bought to mind the olympic rings so I downloaded an image of the rings and then set to work in PSE5, the background in Girls About Town and then I added Jogging George and Work Out Dottie, coloured in PSE5 using the same colours as the rings and then I added various bits of dropped shadow and text. I enjoyed doing this and it let Dottie & George know that I havent abadoned them since Annie came on the scene! lol TFL

Dotties World and Friday Sketchers #50
Ok I have combined 2 challenges this time. I have used the sketch by Friday Sketchers and over at Dotties World this week the challenge was to make a card for a teenager so for this I have used Madison with Attitiude who I have paper pieced and also given her wings (brush in PSE5 downloaded but cant remember details at the mo) The papers are by Mels Lightbulb Moments and are a digi kit called Moody Grunge, the date slider is by Vicki - A Work in Progress, digital again. Used my new nestabilities to cut the age panel. Incase its not clear in the pick the date slider is set to Oct 4 which is when Ria becomes a teenager! TFL
