An Easter Treat

Hello, just thought I'd pop on and share a card I've just finished, I don't really send out a lot of Easter cards just a couple so here is one of them.  I used a super cute image from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Benson Bear Sweet Egg, coloured with copics and spectrums, paper is Craft Creations XOXO, love it's pastel shades, I added some scraps of coloured cs, some beaded string (from Lidls), die cut btterflies, card candi, some eyelets and a stamped sentiment.

The DT were extremely lucky and got to choose an image from MIC to play with and I was even more lucky coz a friend gave me a voucher for MIC so I picked a few more up at the same time.  I actually combined 2 of the images together to make my card.  First of all I chose a digi paper from Raspberry Road Designs then in Photoshop Elements 5 I added 'Gnomey Drew' and once he was in position I added 'Whimsical Mushroom' 3 times and flipped one of the mushrooms. This is one of the reasons I love working with digi images, so much flexibility. With everything in the right place I printed it off and coloured the mushrooms and Drew with a mix of copics and spectrum pens & pencils.  I added the little gold mushroom charm with some natural twine and then matted the picture using Cricut cartridge Elegant Edges.

Aurora Spring Butterfly

ooh did you see last weekend, Unky at The East Wind had a sale on some of her digis?  Well I got myself one of those images and here is the card I have made with Aurora Spring Butterfly.  The first thing I knew about this image was that I wanted to colour her hair differently not blonde/brown/red so while I was looking for papers to use I happened upon my First Editions Bloom pad and then I knew! lol pinky/purple cs is from DCWV Indian Summer matstack, the other cs is Coredinations.  I'm loving this new ticket die I got a few weeks ago and the butterflies as a JS die.  The image is coloured with a mix of copics and spectrum pens and pencils.

For my card I have used a wonderful Bugaboo image Thank you Flower Ladybird.  The image has been coloured with copics and spectrums and I added glossy accents to the ladybird and liquid pearls to the flower centre, the image is matted on to black cs and then on to  red mirriboard which doesn't really show in the photo.  A nice and easy quick card to put together, so now it's over to you the whole team is looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

Good morning and Happy Mothers Day to all the mums tuning in today, hope you all have a fabulous day and get spoilt rotten.  Anyway I'm here to share my other Mothers Day card, this one went to my mum and I know she has received it and loved it.  I had real fun with this one as I was using my new Cricut cartridge, Elegant Edges, and one of my favourite colour combos of pink and green.  All the papers are from First Editions Blank Canvas.  The tulip image is from Delicious Doodles (sadly no longer trading) and I paper pieced them, so no colouring on this card (shock horror! lol) The Mum part was made using a cut from the Elegant Edges and welding it with a cut from Beyond Birthdays then I raised it up over another plain piece. Finally added some ribbon from my stash.  Kept this one flat as it was going through the post.

A Rose by any other name

Did you know that The Paper Shelter are having a DT call, details are here?  So I knew I had to give it a try and in the process made one of my Mothers Day cards!  I used the beautiful image Rose that I won a little while ago and hadn't had the chance to play with yet.  I have coloured her with a mixture of copics and spectrum pens and pencils.  I teamed her up with some papers from Bearly Mine Designs and used a new Cricut cartrdige that I treated myself too recently (Elegant Edges) which I just love!  The die cut butterflies are a JS die the ribbons are from my stash and I added a stamped sentiment and liquid pearls.

Witches Brew

This months freebie from the East Wind via their newsletter was a fab Unky cartoon and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to play but it's taken until now to have the time.  That's not to say this came together easily, far from it but I do think I know why it took me a couple of days to get it finished!  I had lost my desk!  There was so much stuff on it that I didn't really have proper space to work in, my family joke that I have a big desk but only work in 6inches of it, well I didn't even seem to have that so this evening I cleared everything I had no intention of using out of the way then I sat down and sure enough it all came together! lol

I have made a wall hanging and I had a lot of fun with this one, Unky 003 is coloured with a mix of copic and spectrum pens and pencils.  Took me a while to decide on hair colour but once I settled on the background paper I knew what colour hair! The web and lantern were cut on the Cricut, the bats, clock face and grass are all dies and I embossed the cs with notebook folder and then hand wrote, YES hand wrote the Witches Brew which is from the Disney TV movie Halloween Town 2 (Not that I've seen it but I found the song on the good ole internet just be searching witches brew as I knew there just had to be something out there! lol I finished off with some doodling round the edge of the image as doodling is the challenge over at TEW.  This originally started out as a gift for a friend who loves witches but I'm not so sure I can let it go! lol

And the DT were generously given some fantastic images to play with.  I chose this cute Leprachaun and the song that immediately sprung to mind was Kylie ~ I Should Be So Lucky!  The image is coloured with copics and spectrums with a bit of sakura stardust added to those coins.  The papers are Rasberry Road ~ CherryLimeaid.  The sentiment is pc generated and is the first line of an iriah blessing, the corner is cut on the Cricut, I put some foam pads under the bird to make him a little more dimensional and I finished off with some ribbon and gems.

D'Ya Eva?

D'ya eva get, d'ya eva get one of those cards?!  Sorry went a bit Elvis GI blues there!  Anyway do you ever get one of those cards that spends about 3 weeks or so in bits and pieces being pushed around your desk and never really seeming to come together no matter what you try?  Well tonights card is one of them and I'm not entirely sure that I'm happy with it now but I had to finish it or bin it so finish it is what I did! lol.  I like the different elements like the papers First Edition Neroli pad and the cute Anya stamp which I have had for ages and not used for quite some time.  The other elements are red cs, red gems and the spotty organza ribbon oh and liquid pearls in red and blue.
