Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #192 ~ Tic Tac Toe

Hello well it's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this week Marlene is hosting and it's Tic Tac Toe here is a copy of the grid

For my card this time I went with the diagonal line Summer # lovely seeing hot air balloons on a warm summer evening, Stamp/digi ~ hot air balloons and sentiment are stamped using a set from Papertrey Ink, Embossing wet or dry ~  I dry embossed the background using a cloud folder.  Quite a different card for me, no colouring! just stamping, embossing and die cutting.  The die cuts are also from Papertrey Ink.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #191 ~ Here Comes Summer

OOps sorry I've managed to be a day behind but yesterday saw the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this fortnight our host is June and she picked the wonderful theme of 'Here Comes Summer' Down here in Dorset we are certainly enjoying some very hot and sunny weather, I've even had to get the fan into the craft room!

So for my card I used the fabulous Ice Cream Izzy from Simply B Stamps, she is coloured using copics and chameleons.  Paper, frame and sentiment are all from K&Co and I have added a die cut doily and die cut leafy swirl, some tiny prima flowers and a little enamel candi dot.  I do so hope you can join in and don't forget to check out what all the other ladies over at Crafty Cardmakers have made too.

For my card I have used the fun image Surfer Dude and paper pieced his wet suit using papers from Authentique Anchored pad which is where all the papers for this card have come from.  Coloured using copics and the surf board is actually coloured using SN Sparkle pens for just a little sparkle! Some die cut flowers, banners and a brad have been used then I finished off with a printed lolly stick from Basic Grey.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #189 ~ Floral profusion

Oh dear I really am running late with this project which is for the current challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.  I thought I had sheduled it but obviously not! So here goes ... This fortnight we are looking to see lots of flowers, nice and easy then!

I have used the wonderful Clockwork Dragon, changed the colour in PSE before printing, the background paper is BG Hang 10 Maverick.  I used some blue mirricard which I embossed with cogs embossing folder, I found it was still a bit to bright and shiny so I used some Stazon black in and cotton wool and rubbed over the embossing which toned it down perfectly. The sentiment is a Papertrey Ink stamp.  I used vintage photo, mustard seed and broken china distress ink and ink dusters to colour the edges of the sentiment and image and finished of with some die cut leaves and flowers

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #188 - Add a sentiment

Hello it's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this time Pam is our host and the theme for this fortnight is - 'Add A Sentiment' It would be nice if your sentiment is not a tiny peel off tucked in one corner, but more the focal point of your creation, but we won't insist on that.

This time I have made a wall hanging using some fabulous stamps from Papertrey Ink. Both images and sentiment and I have used the masking technique for the images.  I have teamed them up with paper from MME and some coloured cs. I have finished off with some die cut leaves, prima flowers and some gems.

My card is a requst from my other half and is for a friend who actually turned 75 on Easter Sunday.  I followed the brief Adrian gave me as to what he wanted. So I started by making the coloured text background in word alternating between Happy Birthday and Happy Easter and then put a nice big die cut 75 on top, a simple card and she was very pleased with it and so was Adrian

Swingin' 20's Charlotte

Just thought I'd pop by and share my entry for the Simply B Stamps Fan Page Progressive Challenge using the fabulous 20's Charlotte, she comes with the sentiment.  Coloured in a mix of markers, Paper is Stampin' Up Fresh Prints, cs from stash, the pearls are already attached to the the lace (not sure I would've had the patience to add them!), frame is cut on the Cricut, feathers from stash and finished off printing the sentiment and cutting it out using a Whimsy Shapeology Die.

For my card I have used a sponsor image called 'All Bandaged Up' coloured with Chameleon pens and matted onto blue cs.  I don't know the make of the dp but thought it was bright and cheerful. I embossed the die cut cs rikrak and cut some fish bones from cs too, finished off with the rosette made from die cuts and added a stamped sentiment.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #186 ~ Things with wings

Hello, well today sees the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this week Mary is hosting and she would like to see 'things with wings' Anything with wings will count, birds, butterflies and other insects, fairies, aeroplanes, even hearts as long as they have wings!

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it has wings. 

So this week I went right away from paper crafting and made some jewellery.  Ria taught me recently how to make shamballa bracelets so after ordering a few bits and bobs I set too and made myself a bracelet using a dragon and some mini bells instead of beads. Then I made a pair of earrings to go with it.  I love how they turned out and I'm sure there will be a necklace using the same technique to follow some time soon!

Crafty Catz Challenge #365 ~ Anything Goes

Oops, I thought I'd sheduled this post but it would appear that was a dream!  So here I am now, somewhat late but here with this weeks new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week it's the turn of our lovely Naomi to host and the challenge is 'Anything Goes' with the optional twist of 'Easter' so nice and easy for you all this week with Easter just around the corner.

I don't usually make a lot in the way of Easter cards but I remembered this image stored on my pc which is from Charmed Crafts And Cards, she is called Madison 3 in 1 Easter and I've had her for a very long time!  She is coloured with a mix of copics and Chameleons with a touch of SN sparkle added to her boots.  The papers are Basic Grey Oh Baby and Oh Baby Boy, added some lime bakers twine a few gems, a stamped sentiment and finished off with a funky flower button.  Who needs encouragement to eat chocolate?!

The DT were very generously given some images to play along with and I chose the wonderful Gus Golf, he is coloured with a mix of markers and SN pencils for the sky, added some 3d glaze to his glasses, paper is from AMM and teamed it up with some cs from my stash, the note paper is die cut from a piece from a Crate Paper pad.  Die cut the little flag and 70, added a little metal golf bag charm some string and finished off with some scrapbook nails, just got to hope my dad doesn't visit my blog for a while as its a card for him but its not his birthday till May!  Thought I'd get ahead of the game for a change! lol

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #185 ~ Spring into Spring

Hello, I don't know what it's like where you live but this weekend we have enjoyed some lovely sunny days, it's still been on the cold side and a little windy  but the sun has been wonderfully refreshing and with the clocks going forward yesterday it must mean that Spring really is on the way!  And that's the theme for this fortnight over at Crafty Cardmakers 'Spring into Spring' and our wonderful Peggy is hosting this time round.

I recently was gifted lots of cardmaking and scrapbooking stash and I have used some of the new things to create my card this time.  I went for a vintage spring feel using K&Co Brianna paper which I stamped directly on to using Papertrey Ink stamps and then coloured with Chameleon pens (was really nervous about doing this but I love how it turned out) the sentiment wrap and sentiment are also from Papertrey Ink.  I finished off with some Prima flowers and die cut leaves and mounted it all onto green cs (I think it makes a nice change from the white I usually use).

I have used this opportunity to make another Mother's Day card. I have used papers from K&Co along with a topper and adhesive lettering by Elizabeth Brownd for K&Co.  I have teamed the papers up with some green cs.  Have done some distressing and inking to get a more vintage feel to the card. Used a Fiskars Heart border punch, a butter fly punch and finished off with a little crochet lace and some buttons
