Good Morning, well it's Friday and I'm off at the hospital having the cast removed and my thumb checked so that will be interesting.  Nice to get the cast off even though its only been a week they should now put it in a splint and then its months of physio and frustration of not being able to use it! Crafty Catz Challenge #339 ~ Anything Goes

Good morning everyone, well I'm probably sat here feeling a bit sorry for myself as I had an operation on my thumb yesterday so it's out of action for a while and it's my right one!  But I will still be around and hope t get back to crafting really quickly but until you can't use your thumb you don't really think about what you actually use it for!  Still enough about me, it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz which is now always Anything Goes and the host picks a theme for the rest of the DT to have a go at but it really isn't necessary for you to use our twist but we love it when you do!  o our host this week is our very own wonderful Christine and she wanted the DT to use ribbon and pearls.  We have a great sponsor this week for you too

The DT were very generously given some images to play along with and I have used the beautiful 'Aurora Scarf Lover' coloured with copics and SN, then I have made my card following a design in Crafters Inspiration magazine issue 11, the papers, leaf dies and stamps all come with the magazine.  I embossed the leaves with antique gold and bronze powders then coloured and blended them with SN pencils.  I really like how this turned out and its winging its way to my mum whose birthday is on the 9th but as they are going to be away I thought it best to send it early!

Good morning, well I have sheduled this post as I shall be on my way to London for a couple of days to help Ria move out of uni digs into a flat, along with help form my Mum & Dad.

And the DT were very generously given some wonderful images to play along with.  I have used an image from the Paris set.  The papers are from a pad 'One Man's Journey' which I got at the Range as the colours were quite muted I wanted to follow that through with the image and try and get a vintage feel to the card, so I did some tearing and inking.  The flowers have been die cut, heat embossed and finished off with some liquid pearls and the Ooh La La has been cut on the Cricut and finished off with an old button and some thread.

The DT were very kindly given some images to play along with and I have used 'Circus Lion' coloured with SN and SN Sparkle. The background paper is from a glitter stack from The Range and I teamed it with some pale green cs which I used to mat the image and cut out the label and starburst.  The Sentiment on the front and inside the card are pc generated and are my take on the popular phrase 'Roar is dinosaur for I Love You'.

Gotta love a bitta Gus

I really do like the Stella and Gus images from Bugaboo and this one of Gus is no exception.  I have used Gus Bday Recount and coloured him with a mix of markers, some SN Sparkle and some 3d glaze on his glasses.  The background paper is glittered, the sentiment comes with the image and I finished off with some die cut balloons which  I also embossed.

Never too old ...

For birthday balloons!  Just thought I'd share a nice simple card I made for MIL's birthday and I won't divulge her age except to say older than 80 but younger than 90!  The card is die cut from Kraft using some new dies I got recently, then embossed with the banner folder.  Die cut some balloons and added SN Sparkle to the top one and raised each layer with foam pads for dimension.  Then added the sentiment to the inside of the card using another die cut.

A post at last!

Wow can't believe how long its been since I last posted!  Not been a lot going on craft wise but I'm back to share a card I made for a recent wedding and I used a fabulous KennyK image 'Happy Couple'.  I decided to go with a bit of a white on white theme with just a little colour added to the image.  Embossed background then a die cut heart doily, the image was die cut with a ticket die and then some heat embossed die cut flowers were added and finished off with some very pale pink gems and one flower was raised up with foam pads for a bit more texture.

Yellow

Today I'm sharing the first page in my art journal and I have used a beautiful image from Unky over at The East Wind.  She produced this image back in May and I have finally finished colouring it.  I challenged myself to use my SN pencils.  I had nearly finished it when the picture got creased and I couldn't bring myself to redo it so it sat here in my craft room just looking at me until I decided that by the time it was finished being coloured and then cut out the crease would no longer be visible and so I completed my colouring, I'm glad I did!

Unky gave the image away to those that requested it and all she asked for in return was that we share our completed image and raise peoples awareness about the Sewol Ferry Disaster that happened in April 2014 in South Korea, 304 people lost their lives and 250 of them were high school students on a school trip.  If you Google 'Sewol Ferry Disaster' you will find lots of information about it.  I don't recall hearing about it at the time and I have used the other page of my journal to write about it.

Whoo hoo, happy Friday everyone, I am enjoying a weeks leave and am down in Kent visiting my Mum & Dad, actually been here since Monday and heading back home tomorrow and as I'm sheduling this post I am sure we've been having a fabulous time!

I have used the wonderful image 'JJ Wine', she is coloured with a mix of markers and for the wine bottle I have coloured the wine with SN Sparkle pens then the bottle has been given some glossy accents along with JJ's glasses and drink, the wine label has also been coloured with SN Sparkle pens but I really can't get the sparkle to show in the photos.  The dotty paper is also glittered.  The flowers are stamped and embossed with Seafoam white and then die cut, the leaves are actually a feather die! lol and I added some dotty ribbon and stamped sentiment direct to the cs.

Meet Seeana

Have you joined 'Markers! Papers! Digis!' on Facebook yet?  Its awesome, so many talented people sharing their colouring and some awesome freebie images which I am so looking forward to playing with.  Unfortunately I haven't had as much crafting time as I would have liked recently so I am very behind but I finally managed to colour up and make a card using one of these fab freebies.  I have used 'Seeana' and she is by Faery Ink and is coloured with copics and I have used SN Sparkle pens to colour the water and add some sparkle to her hair and tail, the background and its mat are  cut on the Cricut using blue cs and blue mirriboard, the sentiment is a long forgotten stamp that I found when looking for something else and is by Paper Pretties.  Finished off with some flowers from Dovecraft and used some blue beads for the centers.Its really hard to show all the shine and sparkle in photos.

The tag is cut on the Cricut and text added by hand (shock horror! lol) I then added a key to the tag with some string.  My button is my flowerpot which is holding some sunflowers.  Now I just need to make an envelope as its a bit deep then I can get it off in the post!
