Anything Goes with Crafty Sentiments

Good Morning and it's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments, this week its 'Anything Goes'.

I took an empty coffee tin and altered it for my project.

I cut an opening in the lid, covered the tin in some digital paper, added some cs flourishes and butterflies and a few gems, the image I used is Rainy Days and she is available at the Crafty Sentiments store.  She is coloured with copics and spectrums.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut using a Crafty Cutter label die from Crafty Sentiments.  The 'money box' is finished off with some ribbon and a bow.

New Release Day 2 at Crafty Sentiments

Wow did you see the amazing projects by the DT yesterday introducing you to the new stamps over on the Crafty Sentiments Inspirational Blog.  Weren't they fabulous and the stamps will be available to buy tomorrow at the Crafty Sentiments Store.  So today the DT are showing you some more fabulous projects they have made to showcase these gorgeous new stamps.

I have used 'My Gift' and I have made a Christmas Countdown wall hanging.  I used a piece of mountboard and covered it with a piece of digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs and before printing it I added a countdown calendar which I got free online but I can't remember where from (sorry).  The tree and lampost are cut on the Cricut.  I coloured 'My Gift' with spectrum pens & pencils and then I added glamour dust to the fluffy and snowy bits.  I used a simple gummed poster hanging on the back, now I just need to find a little girl who can make use of this in December!

Be sure to check out the other fabulous makes by the DT over on the Inspiration blog, you won't be disappointed.

Whoo hoo, We're on the train to Mums (at least we are if you read this between 10:19am and  2:18pm Wednesday! lol) so I am certainly on my holidays :-) but that doesn't stop it being time for another challenge over at Divas By Design and this week we are celebrating 'Christmas in July' and the DT have made some gorgeous creations to inspire you so be sure to check them out.

I have used a Delicious Doodles image that I love, 'Snowy Postbox' and I thought I'd be a little bit different with my background this time and went for red mirricard which I embossed with a fiskars texture plate, the white doily is a diecut using a Crafty Cutters die from Crafty Sentiments then I added some more red mirricard circles this time embossed with a Cuttlebug snowy scene folder.  Then I added colour just to the postbox using spectrum pencils and finished off with some red peeloff corners and snowflake eyelets.  Now this is a card that sometimes I like and other times I'm really not sure about it!  That'll teach me for trying to be different lol

A little bit of fun

Hi there got a quick card to share today, recently I made a card using the fab Bugaboo 'Stella drown your troubles image and sentiment'  I sent it to my mum who loved it and so did my aunt.  She loved it so much she asked me for another 4!  So here is one of those 4.  I am actually differing the layout, colours etc and it's fun to see how different they look and I'm sure you will see them appear here over time! lol

Anyway this one I went with a blue/black colours scheme and kept it simple, the image is coloured with spectrums and a little bit of sakura stardust then just added some little gems.

NEW RELEASE AT CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS

Good morning, I hope its bright and sunny where you are today, its lovely here in Dorset and I'm enjoying a well deserved couple of days off work but I have totally lost track of time and where in the month I am and for that reason I am a day late sharing with you my project showcasing a fabulous new set of stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs,  I know I say this a lot but you are going to love these stamps!  Now today is day 3 of our 3 day preview and you really need to pop over to the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration blog to check out the fabulous projects made by my talented DT teamies, they really are a bunch of awesome crafters.  The fabulous 4 new stamps will be available to buy at the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store tomorrow and I'm sure they will be flying out the door real quick so don't forget to grab yours!

So onto my project, I have used the adorable 'By the Sea' and coloured with a mix of copics, spectrums and spectrum pencils. I thought this little man would make the ideal front piece for an album filled with summer memories.  The covers are made from mountboard and a tip for those of you who would like to use mountboard more but can be put off by the price, pop along to your local picture framers and ask if they have any offcuts they are throwing out.  (They often have to pay to get rid of it!) I came away from the framers last week with a fantastic amount including some 12x12 pieces.  Anyway back to my project, I covered the mountboard with some digi paper that I have had for years and is from a collaboration kit called Take a Dip by Digi Designs By Nicole (I don't actually know if she is still trading this kit goes back to 2009), the lettering is a quickcutz alpha and the shells are cut on the Cricut.  I got out my trusty Bind-it-All to put it all together and then added some ribbon and string to decorate the bind, finished off the decoration using some gems.

Crafty Catz #236 ~ Stitches

Good morning it's Friday and time for a brand new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week our wonderful Naomi has chosen the theme of stitches (real or faux) and we have a fabulous sponsor for you in the shape of the

Prize 3 digi images

So for my card this week I ummed and ahhed about how I would add my stitching, should I draw it on..No! I could use my embossing folder ...No  or how about some die cut stitches? No ...No none of these were hitting the mark so that meant it was time to get the sewing machine out from under its cover and some boxes of scraps of card!  So out it came and real stitching appeared on my card!  The thing is I actually like it just don't think to do it very often, lol  I used a fabulous image from Dilly Beans, coloured with copics and spectrums and as you can see I've been playing around with hair colour again.  The large piece of paper is from the Santoro pad by Trimcraft and it is glittered, the smaller piece is from a very old K&Co pad but not sure which as the cover is now non-existant! and I stitched round this to attach it. The flower is from my stash and I added a little skull brad and a tag with a small bird stamped on it.  Finished of with a stamped sentiment.
