I have used this opportunity to make another Mother's Day card. I have used papers from K&Co along with a topper and adhesive lettering by Elizabeth Brownd for K&Co.  I have teamed the papers up with some green cs.  Have done some distressing and inking to get a more vintage feel to the card. Used a Fiskars Heart border punch, a butter fly punch and finished off with a little crochet lace and some buttons

Crazy Challenge #244 ~ Masculine

Oh look at me 2 posts in 1 day, now that don't happen too often! lol Anyway I'm back today to share with you my 2nd project as Guest DT with The Crazy Challenge and the theme for the following 2 weeks

'Masculine'

For my project I have been playing with the Cricut again and have made a bottle tag using Kraft cs and papers from DCWV Natural stack (all scraps of).  Sentiment is also cut on the Cricut and the wonderful image is from Kenny K thought he was perfect for a bottle tag, he is coloured with a mix of markers and a couple of dots of liquid pearls have been added to the seat.  Hope you like it.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #184 ~ For a special woman/girl or Mothers Day

Hello it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and as it is Mothering Sunday on 26 March here in the UK our challenge which is being hosted by Sally this time is

For my card I went down the Mother's Day route and have used this fabulous and fun image and sentiment from Simply B Stamps (I'm a new convert to these images and I'm lovin' them! lol) I have coloured using a mix of markers.  The papers are digi ones from a kit called Strawberry Ice Cream by Stacey's Scraps.  The flowers are stamped, heat embossed  and die cut, added some die cut leaves and finished off with some pink gems.

Beehive Queen

Today I thought I'd share the card I have made for the March Progressive Challenge over at Simply B Stamps Fan Page.  I must admit to being new to Simply B images but I'm lovin' them and this one is no exception.  I have coloured her with a mix of markers, (can't get to grips with skin using chameleons!), SN pencils and SN Sparkle pens, she is matted onto some black card and some black gems added.  Background printed paper is from Raspberry Road Designs then I added a circle of yellow cs which has been embossed, some ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment came with the image so I printed it onto yellow cs and matted it with black cs and finished of with some little bee buttons that I have had for such a long time, they have been attached to the back of the sentiment using some yellow wire.

Crafty Catz Challenge #360 ~ Anything Goes

Good morning, I seem to be totally in a rush all the time at the moment and if not in a rush then I'm tired!  Just as well I'm on holiday for a while think I need time to unwind and slow down with some serious crafting!  Anyway it's Friday so that means a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and the theme is 'Anything Goes' and this week it is the turn of our fabulous leader Carol to pick the twist for the DT and this week it's 'Doilies', you don't have to do the twist but it we love it when you do play along with the twist.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is

The DT were very generously given some images to play along with.  I chose 'Birds For Bree' I have coloured her with a mix of markers, added a stamped sentiment, papers are Santoro and called Adrift (I think, its an old pad) but they gave me a sort of vintagey feel.  The 2 rows of birds are die cut from papers from the same pad.  Doily is from a pack of mixed size ones that I bought ages ago in a kitchen shop with the thought of crafting not baking! lol  Added some lace from stash and finished off with a metal square brad which has a rose from the background paper set into it with a resin top.

Guest Designer Spot over at The Crazy Challenge

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #183 ~ Go Green

Hi, I hope you have all had a good weekend, it's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this week our host is Judy and she has chosen the theme 'Go Green' and wants to see your projects using mainly green or as it's nearly St Patrick's Day you could make a project to celebrate that.  

I recently bought the Cricut cartridge  'To You From Me' and a scoring tool so I've been busy playing with it and decided to make a gift card holder.  The paper is from First Edition 'Hideaway' then I added a punched butterfly, die cut sentiment, some gems, raffia string and wooden beads.  Can see me making a few of these they are such a great way to give gift cards.

The DT were very generously given some images to play along with.  I used the beautiful 'Dandelions and butterflies'.  As the twist was thoughts of spring I played around with the image in PS Elements 5 and changed the colour before printing out to a shade of green that worked with the papers I chose which are from Raspberry Road Designs 'Cherrylimeade'.  A little ribbon from my stash and then some yellow cs and used some new dies to cut the dandelions and the sentiment panel and there it is.  Really like how this one turned out.

Lucinda ~ Simply B Stamps

Just wanted to pop on and share the project I made for the Progressive Challenge over at Simply B Stamps Fan Page.  This months image is the beautiful 'Lucinda' and the challenge was 'pastel goth' colour scheme, so black and at least one pastel colour but can be more.   

I decided to make an insert panel for the hessian bag I use to take my meals to work in.  I have coloured 'Lucinda' with copics, chameleons and SN pencils, papers are from Raspberry Road Designs 'My Baby Love Girl' kit which I then teamed up with black mat and die cut accents.  Sentiment is cut on the Cricut and I finished off with some flowers and Card Candi from my stash.  A great challenge and I love how she turned out.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #182 ~ Add some texture

Hello, it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this fortnight Maike is hosting and the theme is Add Texture, now that can be wet or dry embossing, fabric, mixed media stuff, the options are huge, jut have fun with it.

For my card I have used a background paper from the Neroli pad which is fabric textured then I have added some red cs embossed with swiss dots, the image is an old one which is from The Greeting Farm which hasn't seen the light of day for a while! She is coloured with chameleons and SN pencils.  The speech bubble is embossed too as are the little leaves die cuts then finished of with 2 punched butterflies one from the backing paper and one from vellum these are then layered up and finished off with some blue gems.

Crafty Catz Challenge #357 ~ Anything Goes

Good morning, I hope you are all well, I have been dealing with a particularly irksome cold for over a week now and I just can't seem to shift it, hey ho that's the way it goes sometimes. The DT were given some fab images to play along with.  I have used an image from our sponsor that I won a while back called SkyLynn. I have coloured her with chameleons and SN sparkles and then digitally paper pieced her kimono using a paper from Raspberry Road Designs kit called Asian Dreams.  I then used 2 more papers from the kit and digitally cut away some of the cream background then overlaid that paper over the the other paper and added some dropped shadow before printing out.  I matted the image onto some gold mirriboard then cut out a fan and birdcage from the mirriboard and finished off with a little die cut bird and peel off sentiment.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #181 ~ Love, Love, Love

Good morning well it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and this time it is the turn of our fabulous leader Lin to set the theme and she has chosen the theme of 'Love, Love, Love' so lots of scope there.  

For my card I have used lots of die cuts done on the Cricut and I have gone with a WoW theme.  The card was for my parents who celebrated their Ruby anniversary a short time a go which is why I added the little red ribbon bow.  Layered the frame and heart using foam pads for some additional dimension.
