Meet Kaye

Hello everyone, gosh it feels like I haven't posted for ages!  I have been busy at work and getting ready for the Crafty Sentiments New Release preview days which start on Wednesday but just had time to squeeze this little darling in.  This is Kaye and she is the new digital image from Crafty Sentiments Designs and is available in the store, isn't she a little sweetheart.  I have coloured her with copics and the  papers are MME On The Bright Side - One.  I decided to distress the edges to fit in with the peeling paint paper, the border die is I think a Nellie Snellen, sentiment stamp was a freebie with a crafting mag and the flowers are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch & Stamp #99 (cutting it fine but I was determined to use this sketch as I really like it!)

Mad for Markers ~ Day 2 of previews

So tomorrow is release day over at Mad For Markers online store and here today I am previewing another of the wonderful Fairy Ria images that will be available to buy.  Yesterday Ria sat there with her egg, well today you can see what eggsactly(! lol) was tucked away in that egg.  Yep an adorable wee dragon!  Yes adorable mind you we are a bit biased in this house as we have 2 bearded dragons living with us!  Anyway I digress! lol back to my make for today.  I decided to use the image and add it digitally to a background I made from a digi kit that has been in my collection for quite some time, its called St George and the Dragon (quite apt really) and is by Vicki - A Work In Progress.  After I printed it out I was able to colour the image with my copics and I used BG10, B02, 24, 32, E00, 08, 21, 29, 37, V12, 15 & 17. Once that was done I mounted it onto a piece of MME paper and added the wording Ria's Room using my Cricut.  Really enjoyed putting this one together and I hope that you have enjoyed this sneak peek of the new collection.

and here is a close up of the image

Now if you pop over to the Mad For Markers Blog you will catch a few more sneak peeks too.  Thanks for stopping by.

Mad for Markers ~ New Release Preview

All the new images will be available on Wednesday in the M4M store... but today I have a preview of one of these new adorable images so without further ado let me introduce you to 'Fairy Ria' and she is sat with her special egg!  I decided that as we are getting ever closer to Easter that the image seemed just right for an Easter card.  Paper is I believe from Peppermint Creative but it has been stored on my pc for a very long time so not totally sure.  I went with an easel style card, the sentiment was a freebie from a while ago over at Sentimental Sunday and the adorable Fairy Ria has been coloured using copics E00, 21, 47,49,57, BV00, 02 & 31, I added glamour dust to her wings and paper pieced the egg from the same paper as the background but I also stamped on it to give it more pattern, flowers and gems are from my stash and flourishes cut with the Cricut.

Mad For Markers - Copical Blog Hop

First off I am so so so very sorry that this post is late and all those that have visited and left a message on my previous post dont worry you will be noted as having hopped!

Yay today is the day of the Mad For Markers Copical Blog Hop and its sure going to be fun.  This is the culmination of a month which has been celebrating 2 years at  Mad For Markers.

You should have arrived here from  Sammi's  blog, wow weren't those 2 cards fabulous.  For the full hop list please visit the Mad For Markers challenge blog.

Now for my project I was thinking about birthday parties and how the kids all come home with little goodie bags and it got me thinking 'Why should it only be the kiddies that get the goodie bags?' and from that my project was born!  I have used the Birthday Copic Lady complete with her cupcake and copic candle which is available at the Mad for Markers online store.  I coloured her using G02, YG11, 41 E00, 21, 29, 35, 37 W1.  My gingham paper is a digi download I picked up free from I cant't remember where!  The bag shape was cut on my cricut as was the gingham panel and then I added cs between to the 2 bag shapes to join them.  The 'comfort food' and flowers were also cut using the Cricut then I added copious amounts of glitter to the flower.

Aerial View!

I would like to include my project in the bloggers competitions of a copic coloured creation and a M4M digi competition.

Crafty Sentiments - Wings

Tuesday is here again so it is time for me to share my Crafty Sentiments card and this week the theme is 'wings' a nice easy theme for this week.  Now for my card I have used 'Amy on a cloud' from Crafty Sentiments Designs and this is one of the very first Amy images I came across and I fell in love with her instantly and then shortly after I joined the Crafty Sentiments Designs Digi DT team (we later merged to eventually become the amazing team we are now) so when the theme was wings I just had to use Amy.  I have coloured her using copics and then added glitter to her cloud, she is mounted on to glitter card and I have used glitter card to cut borders using Crafty Cutter border die available at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  DP is papermania Blueberry Hill then I added flowers, buttons, wire and gems from my stash and the sentiment is from papermania Portobello Road stamp set.

Annabel Shepherd

My card for tonight uses the adorable image from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Annabel Shepherd. I really do love working with these stamps they are a real joy.  I have coloured her using copics and inked the edges then matted her onto some pale yellow glitter card which I distressed the edges of.  My papers are papermania Blueberry Hill, flowers cut using cricut and more inking.  I also used a Crafty Cutters border die and Spring Sentiment both of which are available from Crafty Sentiments Designs and I finished off with some pink gems and pearls.  I tried for a shabby chic look and feel to this card but not sure I really achevied it (its not one of my strong styles but felt the image asked for it!)

Crafty Sentiments - Bears

This week over at Crafty Sentiments Heather & Jo are your hosts and there is a fabulous theme of 'Bears' and there are lots of Bear stamps and digi stamps to choose from at the Crafty Sentiments Design store.  I have chosen to use Patches with his ballons which is part of a clear stamp set.  Now this card nearly went in the bin in the making as I totally got my measurements wrong and after spending ages paperpiecing and then framing the image using the Crafty Cutter border die (also available at Crafty Sentiments Designs along with some new dies) it ended up being too big for my card blank! :(  I just couldn't decide how I was going to sort this out till I remembered my big pad of cs from Lidls and when I looked through there was a piece that was just the right colour so all was saved!  I cut the cs with a wavy edge and also printed the sentiment and shape on the same cs then cut it out with the Crafty Cutter Vintage label die (also available at Craty Sentiments Designs)  I made the flower using the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge (still need more practice!) and the leaves are a punch.  All the papers used are scraps from my drawers, some are digi and some are magazine freebies but cant remember their names sorry.  Even the brown cs I used for the borders are scraps.  Oh and I did use my copics for the mushroom, bee and flower.

Thats what I have done, please stop by the other DT ladies as their work is gorgeous and then please do join in with our Bear challenge we love stopping by your blogs.

Crafty Sentiments - Digi Release Friday

Yep its Friday so its time to see what wonderful new digi releases there are over at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  There a 3 fab images this week and I have used the one of Patches sat on some books to make a bookmark.  I have coloured him using copics and then inked around him to match with the vintage feel of the  papers which are Echo Park Times & Seasons.  I have kept my bookmark simple and flat as although I love seeing all the fancy bookmarks with flowers and other raised elements I wouldn't be able to use them as a bookmark for fear of crushing them or marking the book.  As avid book readers Ria and I will certainly be able to make use of this cute little fella, even though he is quite 'boyish'  There are 2 other fabby images so be sure to check them out.
