TGF Heart Journal ~ week 10 ~ Torn Between

Wow had to work quick this week for our heART Journalling page with TGF as I am going away later today and wont be back til Friday.  Ria and I had great fun tearing paper this week, Ria said she found it very therapeutic!  The past couple of weeks have been a busy, hectic and at times stressful period, both personally and at work so feeling blue kinda fitted so we used lots of blue bits from magazines and as crafting always helps we couldnt resist getting the Big Shot in on the action!

Thanks again for joining us on our journalling journey. xx

Crafty Sentiments ~ Happy Birthday

Good morning all, I hope you are all well and ready for another challenge because this week the challenge over at Crafty Sentiments is ..  'Happy Birthday'  Nice and easy.  My card uses the adorable Patches & Stitch all ready to party.  I ahve used my copics and tried something a bit new for me and not coloured my bear in traditional browns but instead gone for blue and I have tried to add texture in the way I coloured but not sure that it worked all that well but I do like him blue with his pink party scarf on!  I textured the background piece of card using a sizzix texture plate and went for paisley to go with the pattern on the pp which is a piece from my scraps drawers.  The sentiment is also a stamp and is part of the Patches & Stitch set which is available over at the Crafty Sentiments store, the flowers, ribbon and gems are all from my stash.

Dont forget to stop by the other DT blogs and check out the amazing work and if you look closely you will see that a couple of them have a sneaky peek going on!  Then please join in the fun over at the Crafty Sentiments Challenge blog as we love coming to visit you all.

TGF Heart Journal ~ week 7 ~ Every cloud has a silver lining

Ok its time for this weeks TGF Heart Journal page and only just got this one done in time!  We struggled to think of how we were going to acheive this one as we have already used clouds on other pages and wanted something different.  The theme of clouds made me think of the poem by Wordsworth whose opening line is 'I wandered lonely as a cloud' and that is how the page was born.  W have used scraps of paper from my scrap drawers, the grass is cut using a Marianne Creatables Icicle die and the yellow flowers that  have been used to symbolise the daffodils of the poem are a Tonic Stuidos punch.  The clouds are cut using various dies (Cloud and cupcake topping!) and handcutting the large one all out of cotton wool pads and then adding the quote using silver peeloffs.  We are pleased with how this turned out and are now ready for the next theme which comes out tomorrow.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges
Totally Papercrafts #82 ~ Not a card
Allsorts #119 ~ Green & Blue
PaperTake Weekly ~ Anything Goes
Thanks for joining us on our journey. xx
