Crafty Sentiments #23 & Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #88

A 2 challenges in 1 card project today, started it last night but couldnt quite get it to come together and not sure I'm entirely happy with it now! but it did seem to 'come together' this morning which it had no intention of doing last night! lol

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #88 ~ weddings/anniversaries fairly self explanitory there! lol

Crafty Sentiments #23 ~ a sketch. I turned the sketch around so that I could use 'Sammy Snail' again this week, this is the freebie image that is available over at Crafty Sentiments blog. I manipulated the image so that I could flip it then paperpieced the shells and coloured the rest in with copics. The papers are Papermania Signature range Regency, the ribbon I have had in my stash forever and its self-adhesive. The little green hearts are done using a Tonic Studios punch and the brads were in my stash.

TFL and now its time to get sorted out for work.

Stamp Something - a recipe & SCSC # 85 - buttons & blooms

Well the weather here has certainly improved which was a good thing as Ria had a couple of friends over today and we went to the market so they could have a wander and a spend which I think they all enjoyed followed by a bag of chips and milkshake for lunch, while they were spending I was lookng in the lcs but only bought some glue runners, I'm waiting to buy the Roll Call stamps by TGF and The Spotlight collection also by TGF. Anyway we came home and they played with the lizards for a while before going home. So I think they had an enjoyable time. I have made a card and it meets with 2 challenges.

Stamp Something this week was a recipe ~ Designer paper (Me & My Big Idea Paper Pad), ribbon, bow (from my stash) tag (cut from BIgShot die and covered in papers) the image is one that I won in Sammi's blog candy and is Joseph digi from TGF, I tried to give him a bit of a stubble look but not sure if it really worked or not. The sentiment is from a freebie from Karen of Charmed cards and crafts ages ago.

Dont manage that very often but I seem to have so little crafting time at the moment that I made the most of this card! lol

Cute Card Thursday #103 a sketch - took me a while and lots of different combinations of papers but got there in the end!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #84 - no patterend paper, once I decide that I couldnt get my pp to work this came together quite quickly. cs is coredinations and a little mirriboard, have used the daisy cuttlebug embossing folder and my tonic studio punches to add detail.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge & Sketch Saturday

but only just! I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and used the theme of friends from Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge for this card which is a bit different for me and as such I'm not sure I like it or not. Anyway the papers (which I love) are MME Wild Asparagus, the sentiment in the middle is a rub on I have had since I began and the friends forever sentiment is a cuttlebug die which was teamed with an embossing folder that I just had to have! first time I've used this sentiment there are 5 all together on the die. Hope you like it I'm off to bed! TFL

Sketch Saturday #100 & SCSC #80 Distressing

Made this card this afternoon to cover 2 challenges, the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which this week is distressing. I have embossed and sanded my coredinations cs and inked the edges of the glitter card from the DCWV Glitter Stack and the image, the image is from the Dressy Anya collection coloured with copics and a tiny bit of sakura stardust, the other elements are Papermania and from the capsule collection - Heather (except the yellow brad) The buttons are actually polka dotted on the other side but that didnt really work so flipped them instead. TFL now back to crafting!lol

4 challenges in 1 card

Well this card has taken me a long time today but I have had fun putting it together. Dotties World challenge this week was Step Into Spring so I went for Holly in the garden from the Holly & Madison Collection available at Charmed Cards and Crafts and I have actually digitally paper pieced her with papers from a kit called Summer Lovin' because it uses the colours pink & green which along with flowers is the challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Although it wasnt difficult to digi paper piece I did find it time consuming getting all my layers round the right way! I based the layout of my card on the sketch from Sketch and Stash #31 and my new stash is the digi kit which I bought recently with my winnings from Scrap That Idea, this kit is by Stacey of Stacey's Scraps and I love all the different elements that go with it and the addon of plain card that actually looks like bazzil! the only other addition I used to Stacey's kit is the flourishes top left and bottom right which are actually brushes that were part of a freebie set from Cottage Arts. The 4th challenge I am going for is the one over at Cute Card Thursday which is Dimensions (or lots of layers) well I have gone for the lots of layers as this card has 13 layers not including the image which is made up of 7 layers on its own!

Right I'm starting the week with a combined card. PaperTake Weekly requested Lilac & Lemon, I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the theme over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge was Spring has Sprung. Image was sent to me by Sammi and I have coloured her using copics and a splash of stardust, paper is from a scrapbook kit I got in the £1 shop a couple of years ago, cs is coredinations and I've punched the border using the xcut border system and some tonic studios punches then added 3 of the tiny butterfly punch outs on the corner of the image. I have also stamped and embossed with silver pearl powder some butterflies which are from the new Papermania Botanicals build a range (Havent done the big one yet!). TFL

Ok this card meets with 4 challenges which are the sketch at Friday Sketchers, the theme of Green & Cream at Stamp Something, Lace at My Time To Craft and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge of Anything Goes. I have used a Dressy Miss Anya coloured with copics and a touch of sakura stardust, the flowers, brads and lace are all from my stash and the gorgeous papers are from the latest freebie digi kit at Staceys Scraps which is called 'I'm Not Irish But Kiss Me Anyway. Have also used x-cut corner punch and a nestability. TFL

Friday Sketchers # 92 & SCSC #73 Shades fo Grey

Another combined challenges card this time I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers and the theme of shades of grey from Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. My image is Madison in China from the Madison & Holly World Tour collection available at Charmed Cards & Crafts which I have coloured with copics and sakura stardust & glaze, the papers are from the Joanna Sheen Oriental Dreams cd, the silver rikrak and fan are from my stash. I did actually finish this last night but was too tired to upload so am doing it now before I set to in the craft room again today. HOpefully be back tonight with some more cards. TFL

Dotties World - Hearts & SCSC - Multifold

Combined the challenge of Hearts, doodling and a charmed download at Dotties World with the challenge to make a multifold card for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and made a gate fold card which has a magnetic closure, papers are from a digi collab kit by Staceys Scraps and Mels Lightbulb Moments called 'Livin' Life n Lovin' It' a gorgeous and bright kit which I felt worked well with Birthday Present Dottie. I used a precoloured image and removed her red ballon and replaced it with a glittery silver heart, my doodling is round the edge of the frame. Now it is time for me to go to bed as I'm on an early shift in the morning! Night all and TFL

MTTC #77 Fairy Folk & SCSC #69 Monochromatic & white

I've combined 2 great challenges for this card, My Time To Craft is Fairy Folk and I dug out this stamp that I bought at a car boot a couple of years ago and I've hardly used, I've always liked it but never really got round to finding the best way to use it so this time I have combined it with the challenge at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is monochromatic & white. Paper is Papermania which has been in my drawer for ages, coredinations cs embossed with a swirl pattern, ribbon and stones from my stash and the flowers, brad and photo turns are from the papermani Capsule Collection - Heather. TFL Oh the Anya box and cat bookmark were very well received and already have a couple of request for bookmarks with different images on!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #32 Fire & Ice & SCSC #68 Hearts

I almost didnt make it for the challenge over at Pollycraft Monday Challenge which is Fire & Ice (or red & white) so I chose to use one of the Pollycraft freebie images 'sausage dog couple' and coloured it with my copics then matted it on some red card then some papermania paper and more red card. Inked the edges of each layer then added a bloom and sentiment from my stash. This card also fits the challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is hearts. TFL

SCSC #65 A Sketch

Over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week is a sketch, I like the sketch but had problems deciding what to do and once I had chosen my image which is Do Crafts Daffodill charity stamp I changed my mind so many times over the papers it very nearly didnt happen at all! The paper I chose in the end is from a digi kit but at the mo I cant remember which one as it was a bit that was in my scraps drawer! the cs is coredinations which I embossed and I coloured the flower with my copics to match the image. Not my favourite card! lol TFL

SCSC #62 - Snow & MTTC #70 - Yuletide Wishes

Ok back after a few days absence due to D&V bug which left me feeling very yuckky indeed, also meant I missed some challenges! I did manage to get some colouring done though so hopefully should get a few more cards made over the next couple of days so I'm starting with the challenges over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is snow and all these cards have snow on them somewhere! and the challenge over at My Time To Craft is Yuletide Wishes which again they all have. I have used Miss Anya images all coloured with copics and some sakura stardust pens and glitter glue. Sentiments are a mix of sizzix dies and digi stamp from charmed cards & Crafts. Have to say the brrr card is not included in the challenges as I made that last week but was trying out something new I discovered on my camera that allows me to take upto 4 shots and put them together as if for an 'e-auction' so I thought I'd give it a try, must say I am impressed, I've only had the camera a year and I'm still finding new things out about it!lol Oh well time to make more cards. SCSC #61 - Matching Set

What a great challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week which was to make a matching set, well I had no idea what to do till I realised I had a voucher to send so I decided to make a holder for the voucher and matching christmas card. PP are MME Wonderful Winter, ribbon is from my stash and the image is from the fantastic Charmed Christmas Collection from Charmed Cards & Crafts. Hope you like it. TFL

2 in 1 card and a digi layout

Firstly my card, this is for the challenges over at SCSC #60 which is Christmas Trees and Sketch Saturday #79. My image is a Christmas tree stamp from one last years Anita's collections, I stamped it in green ink and heat embossed it with silver pearl powder, its stamped on creamy coloured parchment paper and the pps are MME Wonderful Winter, the adhesive gems came from the £1 shop. Now the digi layout isnt for any challenges but it was something I did today at my digi photography and image manipulation course. I have wanted to know how to extract an image from a photo and then to be able to use it as an element in my digi scapping and now I do and I'm so excited about it! lol I'll be looking at my camera in a new light now seeing what else I can make into elements! lol The rest of the credit for the paper and other elements go to Staceys Scraps and her freebie kit Give Thanks TFL

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #55 Orange + 1 other

Well I thought long and hard about this challenge set by SCSC this week. I dont use orange that often and wasnt sure what to put with it but decided to start off by stamping the Build a Poppy image from papermania on some orange coredinations cs which I layered up with a few foam pads and finished it off with a jewel brad from my stash. (I know traditionally the poppy should be red but I couldnt resist trying it out and I quite like it in the orange) Well once I'd got that far I just needed to find another colour so out came some more of my My Minds Eye - Bloom & Grow which I layered onto another piece of the orange cs then I punched some butterflies in the corner using a Tonic Studio punch and finished it off with a peeloff that I coloured green. The layout of the card is last weeks sketch from SFOS (I completed that one and really liked the sketch!). Hope you like it (I think I do! lol) TFL x

I'm on a roll tonight, this time I have combined 3 challenges in the one card, the Sketch & Stash challenge #21 my new item is the mirriboard, ABC - F is for Flying - the plane and SCSC was to dig deep and use an old stamp or image, well I dug deep and found my Joanna Sheen Victorian Birthday CD which I havent used for absolutely ages but I remembered the plane image, the papers are from the cd too and the blue cs has been put thru bigh shot with cuttlebug embossing folder the ribbon is a freebie from many moons ago so long I dont remember where it came from! TFL
