The DT were able to choose an image to play along with and I chose Tobie Tree and coloured him using Chameleons then went a bit crazy with the glitter and the UTEE, stamped sentiment is from PTI, not sure where the paper is from and also used a bit of washi tape with god trees on but it doesn't show up that well.

Crafty Catz Challenge #478 ~ Anything Goes

Hi, it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week it is my turn to host and I gave the fabulous DT the additional twist of anything Halloween and the fab sponsor is

The DT have used this fabulous image called Witching Hour.  Now I was tight for time this week and the wonderful thing about TPS images is that they come coloured and non coloured and have fab backgrounds that you can use too.  So I decided to have a bit of a play and used the coloured version and in Photoshop Elements change it to a black & White image I then mounted it on to some fab Halloween digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs (love their paper packs so sad they are no longer trading 😢)  I tossed up between 2 backgrounds and finally plumped for the blue not strictly Halloween colour but really liked it with the image.  I then added some SN clear glitter to teh potion, skull and rose.  Card blank was cut on the Cricut and I finished off with a heat embossed stamped sentiment from PTI.  Very clean & simple but I am pleased with the end result.

This week Ria wanted a card for a friend who has just moved house and she didn't want cutesy! Hmm took some thinking and rummaging.  Nothing in my stamps rubber or digital in the end I remembered a die I got last year of a window (came with stamps of trees for Christmas indoor and outdoor) so thought if I teamed it up with a brick wall embossing folder and then I found a Cricut silhouette image and with some ink dusting my card came together.  Thankfully Ria was suitably pleased as was the recipient.

The DT were given some beautiful images to play along with, I chose 'Old Roses Frame' and printed it directly onto some Kraft cs, I have then coloured with SN pencils.  I die cut the sentiment twice and layered it up, I had planned on leaving it as Kraft and getting an embossed effect but it really didn't work so I brushed it with some green ink.  Kept it very clean & simple.

The DT were very generously given an image to play along with, I love The Paper Shelter images and this time I used an image already in my stash that I won a while ago and I thought she was perfect for the theme of 'Summer' Now, I have had very little crafting time recently so I have used a pre coloured and layered image that comes as part of the pack.  These are ideal for making quick cards.  After printing the image off I have mounted it on to some orange cs then I added some SN Sparkle to certain areas and then some 3D gloss for the glasses, sun glasses and drinking glass.  I finished up with a stamped sentiment from PTI.

SBS Progressive Challenge

Ok cutting it fine with this one this month but have made it.  The progressive challenge over at SBS Friends this month is a great image called Phoenix which I coloured using Copics and Chameleons.  The rest of the challenge was to use a minimum of 1 designer paper and 1 embellishment.  My paper is Basic Grey Colour Me Silly Play.  In my stash I found this cute accordian keeper by Bazzill and thought it would make a great little book to record my weight loss journey in as I joined Slimming World this month!  I have used the image to decorate a page for May of next year and added a blank panel at the bottom to record what my weight gets to at that point and any thoughts.  I like the idea of rising from the ashes as a new and improved me full of hope! lol
