Crafty Catz Challenge #340 ~ Birds of a Feather

Good Morning, well it's Friday and I'm off at the hospital having the cast removed and my thumb checked so that will be interesting.  Nice to get the cast off even though its only been a week they should now put it in a splint and then its months of physio and frustration of not being able to use it! The DT were given some fabulous images from our sponsor to play along with and I have used Autumn Owl which I have coloured with a mix of markers and I went over certain parts with various SN Sparkle pens.  The papers are from the free cd that came with issue 11 of Crafters Inspiration teamed up with green cs, finished off with some ribbon, buttons, stamped sentiment and the sunflower came from Lidls to which I couldn't help but add a little sparkle! lol

Crafty Catz Challenge #339 ~ Anything Goes

Good morning everyone, well I'm probably sat here feeling a bit sorry for myself as I had an operation on my thumb yesterday so it's out of action for a while and it's my right one!  But I will still be around and hope t get back to crafting really quickly but until you can't use your thumb you don't really think about what you actually use it for!  Still enough about me, it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz which is now always Anything Goes and the host picks a theme for the rest of the DT to have a go at but it really isn't necessary for you to use our twist but we love it when you do!  o our host this week is our very own wonderful Christine and she wanted the DT to use ribbon and pearls.  We have a great sponsor this week for you too

I have used the cute Birdie in the Palm image from our generous sponsor and I went for quite a simple design this week using mainly blue, white and Kraft cs.  The sentiment and little birthday bird are cut on the Cricut, the image is coloured with a mix of markers and I added some blue ribbon and blue liquid pearls.  Don't forget to check out what the other uber talented ladies have made this week too, you won't be disappointed.

The DT were given some fab images to play along with.  I have used 'Mistletoe' coloured with a mix of markers and some glamour dust for the fluffy bits.  Backing paper is DCWV and black cs. The DT were very generously given some images to play along with and I have used the beautiful 'Aurora Scarf Lover' coloured with copics and SN, then I have made my card following a design in Crafters Inspiration magazine issue 11, the papers, leaf dies and stamps all come with the magazine.  I embossed the leaves with antique gold and bronze powders then coloured and blended them with SN pencils.  I really like how this turned out and its winging its way to my mum whose birthday is on the 9th but as they are going to be away I thought it best to send it early!
