Fairy Wishes

Thought I'd share a card I made this afternoon.  I used the beautiful 'Ivy Fairy' from Delicious Doodles and using PSE5 I changed the colour and thought she'd look good in green, I added some sparkle with Spectrum Sparkle pens to her wings but it doesn't show in the picture. I printed her onto pale cream cs, matted onto green cs then mounted that onto slightly dark cream cs that has been embossed.  Cream organza ribbon topped off with an ivy corner die cut and finished with some green gems.

Crafty Catz Challenge #317 ~ Stitching Real or Faux

Good morning, is everyone looking forward to the Easter break, it's actually my weekend off which is nice but I am working a long day on Easter Monday, well thems the breaks! lol  Anyway it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week it is my turn to choose the theme and I chose 'Stitching - Real or Faux' and we are sponsored this week by

And Bugaboo very generously gave the DT some awesome images to play along with, I have used 'Wishing Ewe' which also comes with a sentiment.  The image has been coloured with a mix of markers and some sparkle pens, I only used faux stitching, did plan on getting the sewing machine out by time kinda ran away from me, I'll try harder next time, promise! lol.  The paper is from the Range and is glittered, printed the sentiment on blue cs cut on the Cricut and fixed to the card with some blue organza ribbon, the star burst is a die cut.

Sweet Melody

Recently I was very lucky and won the challenge over at The Paper Shelter and because I had used one of their images that meant I won a fabulous $30 gift certificate to their store.  So here is a card I have made with one of my chosen images.  This is 'Melody' and she has been coloured using a mix of markers, a white gel pen and a red sparkle pen, the paper is from The Range and is glittered, the sentiment is cut on the Cricut, I've made some rolled roses from spotty paper and black paper and I finished off with some black cs die cuts and red gems.

A Little Recycling/Re-Purposing

Just thought I'd share my latest project with you.  I keep my tablets in a little brown box that had a replacement printer head in it and I thought it was time it had a makeover! Well it might as well look good as well as being useful!  I used Deco patch papers and glue, Kraft cs and some other pieces of cs for the mats and die cuts.  The image is 'Spring Birdie' from TEW coloured with a mix of markers and everything had a final coat of deco patch glue before finishing off with some liquid pearls.

A Little Easter Fun

I was playing around on the Cricut today and having a look at the free cuts which change regularly, so at the moment it's Easter 2010 and on it are some cute looking lambs so I just had to cut them out and now they've made their way onto this fun Easter card.  The paper is  from Barely Mine Designs and I've added some die cut grass, some punched flowers, the sentiment is pc generated and cut out using speech bubbles cut on the Cricut.

A quick Hello!

Ooh look at me back with another card!  I have to admit this was a super fun and quick card to make. The image is from Bugaboo and I printed it onto cream cs and cut it out using the Cricut along with the mat.  Patterned paper is First Editions Neroli.  Image is coloured with copics and spectrums, die cut ladybugs and butterfly and some black ribbon and gems from stash.

Nothing Wrong With Me ...

... That a little chocolate won't fix!  I bet there are a lot of us that can relate to that.  It was the starting point for my card share and its from The Paper Shelter - Tasty Signs collection and I teamed it up with 'A little bit grumpy' coloured with a mix of markers and sparkle pens.  Papers are digi kit called 'Life is a box of chocolates' by Stacey's Scraps (I've had it a LONG time!) I added die cut branches and a pennant and finished off with flowers, brad and card candi from my stash.

For my card I have used the cute image 'Roses' coloured with my markers and added some sparkle with the SN Sparkle pens and matted her onto a green paper tag both cut on the Cricut, the rose paper is from a pad from The Works.  The sentiment is a stamp and I have added some ribbon and ribbon roses (were white but coloured with markers to match) and finished off with a little gem on her dress and some little die cut butterflies.

If not you really should join.  This month the club and those that take the newsletter got a wonderful freebie image called 'Safari Guy' and the Facebook challenge at the moment is Anything Goes using Safari Guy/Super Man/Super Punch, the latter 2 are available on special offer exlusive to Club members!  Well I have used Safari Guy and he was fun to colour in a mix of my markers and I teamed it up with some papers from a kit called Scouts Honour by Raspberry Road Designs.  I added a pointing hand cut on the Cricut and the sentiment is stamped.  This time I also decorated the inside.

Missing You

Well the weather is lousy, cold, wet and very windy so perfect day to be in the craftroom creating! Over at TEW Facebook page there is a contest called 'I Heart You' so this is what I  came up with. The beautiful image is Aurora Heart Flower and I have coloured her with a mix of my markers. The Papers are Santoro and a little brown cs for the sentiment.  The image is mounted in a frame which I have then raised up on foam pads for a little extra demension.  The heart paper is glittered and I used a sparkle pen on the heart on her t-shirt.  I have to admit that I spent ages trying to add more to this, I tried flowers, gems, charms and all sorts but I just couldn't find anything so I felt it was better to leave it than add something that just didn't work!

Happy Mothers Day Take 2

Just sharing the card I made for MIL for Mothers Day.  No colouring!  I chose to die cut using the cricut to achieve a lattice background which is matted onto some green cs which has been embossed with a leaf pattern (new folder!) then I rolled plenty of roses using some pink papers and finished off with a stamped sentiment which is raised up using hot glue.  Quite simple but effective I think.

Happy Mothers Day

Yes I know that the day is almost over but had to be sure my card had arrived and this is the first chance I've had to actually upload it.  For this card I used the wonderful Diva Lisa Hmmm Cupcake from TEW, she is coloured with a mix of my markers and SN pencils and finished off with some SN Sparkle which doesn't really show that well in the pic.  I used some new papers that I got at the Range while I was visiting my Mum & Dad.  Papers are from a pad by DecoTime and are just called cardboard patterns with glitter.  I decided to do an easel card which I know my mum likes and as the challenge over at TEW is circles I went with a circle easel card!  On the top part I also embossed a decorative circle with a new folder I got at the same time as the papers (along with a few other bits! lol) added some green cs, a few punched hearts, some gem hearts and a pc generated sentiment and hey presto!
