Fabulous prize!  So onto my card.  Well I love purple but don't actually use it that much so this was a bit of a challenge for me!  However, as I recently was very lucky to win some Paper Shelter images I just knew which one I HAD to use which made my paper choice easy!  So here she is Adorable Cowgirl from TPS, coloured with a mix of copics and spectrums, background paper is from the gingham collection from Bearly Mine Designs, sentiment is cut using the Cricut and I finished off with some little wooden buttons, some string from an old luggage tag and a cowboy boot charm that I have had for years but never had the chance to use it till now!  (I bought it because I loved it, love my own cowboy boots too! lol)

So for my card I have used the fabulous 'Blonde Bombshell' from KennyK and I went with the film 'Some Like It Hot' and to emphasise my theme I went with hot pink too! Now I know this isn't actually from 'Some Like It Hot' but actually from  'The 7 Year Itch' but for some reason this image always makes me think 'Some Like It Hot' lol I'm sorry I can't remember whose the paper is I think it may be Dovecraft and I added some pink and grey cs.  The sentiment is a PTI stamp and I added some gems to it and also one for her earring.  Finished off with some graded pink crystal sprays.  Kept it simple as I really wanted the image and hot pink to take centre stage.

Monochrome madness

Good morning all, well where is this year going?  It seems to be speeding past!  As today is Tuesday that means a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments and this week the theme is Monochromatic, now this used to frighten the life out of me, I loved seeing peoples monochrome cards but it took me a long time to try it for myself and when I did I really did like the effect I managed to achieve so I no longer look at monochrome challenges with fear!

So onto my card and I thought I'd try a different colour that I don't usually associate with monochrome cards.  For my image I used the adorable Benson - For You digi image which is available at Crafty Sentiments Designs, coloured with a mix of copics and spectrums, my paper is from MME and some coredinations cs which I have embossed.  The sentiment is also from Crafty Sentiments Designs, punched butterflies and finished off with some ribbon from my stash.

So onto my card.  I used the fabulous Gus Bday Over The Hill and matching sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps.  Coloured with a combination of copics and spectrum noirs, I added 3d glaze to his glasses.  Papers are PM Happy Days and I added a peeloff sentiment.  Thought I'd make a spring card for a change as haven't done one in a while.  This card is going to a special recipient, my Dad! lol

Crafty Catz Sketch

So here is what I made using a fabulous image from The Paper Shelter called 'The Sweet Gardener' coloured with my copics and a few spectrum noirs (trying them out!) Paper is First Edition and I teamed it up with some green cs.  Used a couple of dies for the corner and leaf swirl, (I'm away from my craft room so can't remember  whose they are) and finished off with some purple flowers from my stash.

Be Sporty

Hi its Tuesday so that means its time for a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments and this week its 'Be Sporty' and we are previewing another of the fantastic new stamps that will be available to buy in the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store TOMORROW!  So today its the turn of 'Billy Cricketer' and accessory stamp 'wicket' and after you've been to Crafty Sentiments be sure to check out the Crafty Sentiments Inspirational Blog as there are more samples there for you to see.  Now back to the challenge and the prize on offer this week is:

For my card I made a side stepper I printed the card with a digi paper before cutting, Billy and the wicket are coloured with copics, the sentiment is stamped to a triangle punch and a little cricket ball sticker, finished off with some red ribbon and a little bow.

oops very late!

I'm so sorry but I completely forgot to post my card for the preview of another of the fab new stamps that will be released on 10th April from Crafty Sentiments Designs.  It seems I am in total holiday mode as I'm away from home with Ria enjoying some catch up with my mum & dad, hence my forgetfulness! lol  Today over on the Inspirational Blog we are previewing 'Tobey Golfer' great for all those dads, uncles, brothers and grandads out there.  I decided to make a circle easel card, using an old cd as the base.  Papers are from First Edition, I embossed some white card, flipped over to the debossed side and inked round the edges for a golf ball effect, The sentiment is peel offs on a Vintage Label die cut which is available from Crafty Sentiments Designs, Tobey is coloured with copics and I paper pieced his plus fours and hat and added some glitter to the bobble on his hat. Fantastic new release coming at to Crafty Sentiments Designs

Yay! The 10th of the month see the latest new release of stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are awesome again.  So we thought we'd treat you to some previews of the new stamps, starting today with 'Teddy Jack with Bucket' and you can see what the DT came up with by visiting the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration Blog.  

For my project I decided not to make a card but a photo frame.  For the background I printed some paper from Raspberry Road and I fixed it to the base of a 5 x 7 clip frame and then I stamped Jack onto some card and coloured him with my copics then fussy cut him and fixed him to the front of the glass.  The sandcastle and tree are cut using the Cricut and also fixed to the front so that a summer holiday photo can be put inside the frame and its then surrounded by summer images. (if we ever get any summer to take pics in this year! lol)

For my project I have made a folding box card.  I made a similar one for my mum for Mothers Day which had a selection of paper flowers in it, you can find that one here.  Well my aunt saw it, liked it and put in a request for something similar - a cat in the grass and this is what I came up with.  This box folds flat for posting.  The grass and flowers on the front  are cut on the Cricut, the leaves with the flowers are a punch and the cat is Pumpkin from the Daisy and Dandelion range.

Spring Colours

Good morning crafters, well this week over at Divas By Design we are looking for Spring Colours in your creations and it seems that Spring may finally be starting!  We have had a few days of sunshine down here in the West Country, still been VERY VERY cold but so nice to see some sun and get washing dried outside!  So back to the challenge, this week our fabulous sponsor is
