Still making Christmas cards!

Ok I'm really not sure how many more I have left to make but I am getting there slowly!  Thankfully not all need to be posted so I am about to write all the ones for posting and see whats left! lol but before I do that I have a card to share with you that uses a very old image but it is one of my faves.  Its Dottie & the snowman which is part of the Dottie & George Bumper Christmas collection by Louise Brigden available at Charmed Cards & Crafts.  I have coloured using copics and spectrums adn added some red glitter to their ear muffs and flowersoft to the snow along the bottom.  The paper is MME and I finished off with some bakers twine and a little wooden sentiment coloured with copics.  Right time to go get on with writing!

Crafty Sentiments Challenge ~ Birthdays

Good morning to you all, wow we had a fabulous response to our Christmas challenge last week over at Crafty Sentiments and now its time for a new challenge and this one will run until the 6th January, giving the DT time to recharge their batteries so we are finishing with a nice easy theme chosen this week by the wonderful Caz,  'Birthday' and the prize for the randomly picked winner is ...

It will be a goody bag containing a selection of Crafty Sentiments Goodies :-) 

Right then onto my card, I have used the fabulous 'Fashion Party' which is available at the Crafty Sentiments Design Store, she is coloured with copics and teamed up with some pink cs off cuts and a sheet of paper from a very old K&Co pack Addison, the pink s/a ribbon is also very old (I'm amazed it was still sticky! lol) the sentiment is a stamp from Die'sire Sentimentals which I heat embossed, the leaves are die cut and the flowers are from my stash.  Was nice to make something different from a Christmas card, but I'm still making them!

So onto my card, I have used the adorable 'Polar Clause' digi stamp by Stampart Designs by Kathryne (a recent win) he is so cute but this time I decided not to go with polar so coloured him as a brown bear and teamed him up with some fabulous papers from Bearly Mine Designs and Kraft cs. The holly is a punch and I added some little gems found some very old s/a ribbon amongst my stash and finished off with some more red gems and Kraft snowflakes.  The image is coloured with copics and spectrums and off course has some glamour dust added.

Snowflakes at Fab 'n' Funky

Good morning, a couple of weeks ago I was very lucky to win over at Fab 'n' Funky during their birthday celebrations and my win was some fabulous digi images from Stampart Design by Kathryne (who is this weeks fabulous sponsor too!) and the chance to be a GDT at Fab 'n' Funky, so I jumped at the chance and with a theme of Snowflakes I couldn't resist using one of my prize images.  The image is called 'Polar Claus' and he is coloured with spectrums and plenty of glamour dust added to his hat.  Paper is MME and the sentiment (also from Stampart Design by Kathryne) is printed onto a label die cut from Crafty Sentiments Designs, I finished off with some ribbon from my stash and some little punched snowflakes.

Good morning all, well today being Wednesday that means it's time for a new challenge with Divas by Design and this is our last challenge until the New Year when we will start again on the 8th January so until then the theme is one you all love, yes it's 'Anything Goes' and we have a fabulous sponsor too...

Elf & Safety?

Well here I am with a card to share, I bought the little wooden sentiment the other day in the Range (on sale!) It was a bag of different ones and I just knew what images I had tucked away that haven't seen the light of day for quite some time that would be perfect so this evening I set too and this is what I came up with.  The papers are MME (2 or 3 years old now!), some ribbon from my stash and the image is by Louise Brigden and they are available from Charmed Cards and Crafts.  I have loads of Louise's images as when I first started with digi images she released Dottie, closely followed by George and others and I have just realised that they have been tucked away on my hard drive for far too long so you may well see a few of them coming out to play.  This image is from the Santa's Little Helpers collection and she has been coloured using copics and spectrums with copious amounts of glamour dust added for good measure! Kept it to a minimum as I really wanted the image and sentiment to stand out, I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Ooops I am somewhat late with my post today so I really must apologise for that, work really does have me upside down at the moment and I don't seem to have a clue what day of the week it is but you really don't want to hear all about that!  As it's Friday that means a fab new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week it's the turn of our wonderful Kim to choose the theme and she would love to see '2 or more dies/punches and we have a fabulous sponsor for you this week too...

Now I've kept my card pretty simple this time (well it was my partners birthday card!) I have coloured the  fantastic 'Caberet' from Kenny K with spectrums.  The present she is sat on was cut on the cricut as was the sentiment.  The bow on the present and the sentiment have been cut out of red mirricard to echo her lips, toenails and trim on her top, unfortunately it doesn't show up to well in the picture, looks much better irl.  I have raised her up slightly using foam pads.

Well that's it my holiday is over it's back to work tomorrow and what a shock that will be to my system!  A long day (07:30 - 22:00) then a sleep in followed by an early on Tuesday (07:00 - 14:30) See what I mean about a shock to the system! lol  So I have managed to fit in another Christmas card!  The cute image is from Crafty Sentiments Designs and is called 'Me and my Teddy', just adorable, I have coloured her with spectrums and copics, paper is Raspberry Road Designs, flowers and gem strands are from my stash and the wooden sentiment is from Trimcraft, picked them up from the Range on Friday, coloured with spectrums.

Snowman Pinup

Hi there, I'm back today with another image that I haven't yet used.  This time it's 'Snowman Pinup' from Sassy Studios, I won this image quite some time ago (no where near winter!) and knew it would be a good image for Christmas, especially for those hard to make for men in our lives!  I have coloured her with copics, spectrums and sakura clear stardust, the sentiment I got today at The Range, the paper is DCWV and I added some black cs and white organza ribbon.  Kept it simple as the paper is quite glittery.

Happy Gingerbread

Back again!  I was looking at the different images stored on my pc today and realised there are some that have never seen the light of day so decided it was time to rectify that!  So I have used a cute Gingerbread Man by Meljens, printed him onto Kraft and used sakura stardust pens and white gel pen to add details, papers are Bearly Mine Designs and I finished off with some card candi and a resin sticker from a while ago!

Snowman Skates

Yay I managed to play in my craft room! but not until last night! lol and here is a card I made.  Cute image is from Bugaboo, coloured with spectrums and glamour dust added, papers are from Bearly Mine Designs and I've teamed it up with some Kraft and blue mirriboard.  Sentiment is a sizzix die and I finished off with some gems from my stash.  I am now planning on spending the afternoon in my craft room after some lunch so I may be back later!  Mind you I do also have some DT things to work on for later in the month too!

Delicious doodles

Told you it was fantastic!  Ok so on to my card, well I thought I'd have a go a getting a bit vintagey, it's not something I do very often and I find it quite hard but after I'd coloured up the wonderful Robin from Delicious Doodles and checked out my papers I found the background paper from Bo Bunny and just thought it worked so well with the image but the image looked a bit 'clean' so I set to with my cotton wool, ink and stamps, then I found some scraps of Christmas paper embellishments added those then thought I'd better stop there while I was liking what I had achieved! lol, hope you like it too.

Skating Nikki

Hi there I have a card to share with you that I've made this evening, I have used the gorgeous digi image Nikki from Saturated Canary, coloured with copics, papers are Raspberry Road, the mittens are a sizzix die, the ribbon is a magazine freebie from a year or so ago and I've used some card candi, all the edges have been distressed and inked.  I'm actually on holiday this week and keep promising myself more time in my craft room but haven't done that much yet so maybe tomorrow!

So onto my project, I have used 'in the background' and although she is'n't a Christmas image I have made her one as I seem to be in Christmas card mode at the moment (as I'm sure lots of us are! lol) The card base I embossed, the window is already cut (this is the last one of a pack of 5 that I got years ago!) the scene beyond the window is from Bearly Mine Designs and I have added copious amounts of glitter not that it shows very well in the pictures.  The cute image has been coloured with spectrums and then fussy cut before mounting on the card using foam pads.  The sentiment is from Sheena Douglas Bah! Humbug! 1

Tags & Bags with Crafty Catz

Fantastic prizes wouldn't you agree.  So here is what I made, I recently won a challenge and the prize was a voucher for Crafters Companion so I treated myself to the Sweet Treats boards which is a selection of boxes and bags and a cute birdhouse. So I decided to go with a bag and I'm pleased with how it turned out for a first attempt.  The paper is MME Winterwonderland (couple of years old now).  I cut a tag from the same paper and added an image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy, coloured with spectrums, to the tag I added a poinsettia die cut and a stamped sentiment from a set of stamps that happened to fall in my basket when ordering the embossing boards! oops! The tag is attached with some cream ribbon and then I have put wide red ribbon round the bag and added a large fabric flower from my stash. I hope you will find time to join us this week.
