A Winter Birthday

Been having a little play with a gorgeous freebie from the wonderful Krista at Saturated Canary.  She generously gave this image away during her 12 days of Christmas.  Its the first time I've used a Saturated Canary image despite seeing all that lovliness all over blogland!  I have coloured her with Copics and just a tiny bit of stardust, added a pink heart gem to her scarf.  Background paper is Bearly Mine Designs, the cs has been embossed, mittens are a sizzix sizzlit die and I added ribbon, ribbon slider, brad, gems, flower and gem spray from my stash.  This is busier than my cards of late but love how it turned out.

Hatter's Hope Challenge Reminder

Did you know that the challenge for this fortnight over at Hatter's Hope is 'Sparkle'? Now how easy is that?  We all love a bit of sparkle in our lives.  For my card I have used The Silk Fairy from the new release 'The Magical Tree' which are available at the Mad For Markers Online Store.  I have used my copics to colour her and used my V's which I don't use very often.  I added my sparkle in the way of stardust pens on her wings, shoes, dress and in her hair.  The papers are First Editions Dreamcatcher pad.  I embossed a frame around the image and a corner using my new Crafters Companion Ultimate Pro which Ria gave me for Christmas, the sentiment is  a stamp from a set called Steampunk Dreams and I finished off with some gems and ribbon from my stash.  I do hope you can pop over and join the challenge at Hatter's Hope, don't forget you don't have to use a Hatter's Hope or As the Crow Flies image unless of course you want to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

yes I think I have finally gotten to the end of my Christmas makes!  Finished off with this one and with only about 10 minutes to spare! lol Thankfully it was a quick and simple one.  Used another of the pre-coloured Rudie from Charmed Cards and Crafts and some of my Papermania Kraft card.  Added some stardust to his nose, red mirricard, come card candi and a coloured peeloff sentiment.

While I was looking through my embossing folders for my previous card I came across the one I have used for this C&S card, this time I embossed dark blue card then wiped over it with white ink pad before matting it onto some silver mirricard and then onto another piece of blue cs. finished off with a silver peeloff sentiment.  Really like the effect.

C&S Christms

Just thought I'd share this C&S Christmas card I made, I was looking for quick but I still wanted something that stood out.  Remembered some Coredinations whitewash cs that I have (only a few pieces left now) and dragged out my embossing folders and opted for the baubles one.  Mounted the panel onto some black cs then on to a pearlescent card blank and hey presto a nice and quick but I think effective card.  Just trying to see if the remaining pieces of whitewash are suitable colours as still need a couple more cards! lol

Holly Pixie

I love this little Holly Pixie, she is from Charmed Cards and Crafts and for speed I have used a pre-coloured version and added stardust to her in various colours and places, she is sat on a glitter card snowflake cut on the Cricut and then I have used Bo Bunny papers for the other layers and finished off with some ribbon and punched holly for the corners.

Hatters Hope New Relelase

Today sees the new release of some fantastic new images from Hatter's Hope and its a real step back in time for me as the characters are based on the wonderful Enid Blyton books about the Faraway Tree.  As a child I adored Enid Blyton books and I'm sure many of you were avid readers of her books too, so thats what the new release is all about and for my card I have used 'Moonface up the tree' coloured with my copics. Background paper is a digi from a kit called Sleeptime by Stacey's Scraps (I've had for a while!) added blue cs embossed with a TH tree surface embossing folder and then added some yellow stars cut on the Cricut and the sentiment is a provocraft die with a tiny yellow gem added.  Thanks for stopping by and please go check out Hatter's Hope to see what the other wonderful images are like.

Another one done!

Yay another Christmas card finished!  This one uses a fabulous new digital image that is available over at Crafty Sentiments Design Isn't he cute there listening to the wee robin singing him a song.  Have coloured with copics and added some white glitter to hats, scarf and snow on the floor, mounted on some blue glitter card, used the same card to cut the corners, paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and finished off with some ribbon.

All that glitters over at Crafty Sentiments

Good morning, time for a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments and this week we are looking to see your 'GLITTER', a nice easy one which is running for 2 weeks, so plenty of time to join in.  The DT sure had fun with this one you really wont be disappointed when you pop over to check them out.  For my card I have used the adorable 'Jasmin Winter Skates', which is available at Crafty Sentiments Designs, coloured of course with my copics and plenty of sakura startdust pen added.  My tree and fence have been cut with the Cricut (I just got a new cartridge Bloom!) and the background paper is from Bearly Mine Designs.  I then went along the fence and over the tree with my snow glitter writer pen for lots of icy sparkle which is really hard to get a good picture of! but irl it really does sparkle!

Must be on a roll tonight, just made another card using a fab pre-coloured image from Charmed Cards and Crafts I added some sakura stardust to his belt and boots.  Paper is Bearly Mine Designs and I made a stylized holly wreath using some shaped diecuts and red pearls.  Father Christmas is mounted on some gold embossed card and I added some tartan ribbon.

Another quick card

Ok so I have had a very lazy day today and not been productive in the slightest but I have managed to make one quick card!  I have used Papers from Bearly Mine Designs and an image from Charmed Cards and Crafts.  The image is a pre-coloured one and I printed it onto some Kraft card.  I added crystal glaze to his wee red nose and hooves, white gel pen faux stitching and finished off with some ribbon and red pearls.

just a quick little card

Whilst looking for something in the depths of the craftroom I came upon an image that had been glittered up last year, (got several images on some acetate at  a show and coloured them with ultra fine glitter) and not got used so I quickly found an aperture card deep in a drawer (knew I still had a couple of these lying around! lol) and then spent the next 20 minutes looking for my snowflake die! (note to self Tidy Craft Room! SOON! lol) added 2 snowflakes cut using glittered card and voila a quick and simple card that is really sparkly.

Christmas with Emerald Faeries

Here's another chance to finish off your Christmas cards with the challenge of Christmas over with the Emerald Faeries.  For my card I have used my favourite of these adorable images 'Isla' but this time I have removed the seed head and replaced it with a snowflake which is a quickcutz die that I have dipped in white UTEE using my much neglected melt pot! added a touch of glamour dust while it was drying.  Coloured Isla using my copics, the background paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and I have matted the image onto a piece of sparkly vellum which has been embossed with snowflakes but they haven't shown up very well.  Finished off with a sizzix die cut sentiment and a snowflake eyelet.  Thanks for stopping by, please don't forget to check out the amazing work by the other ladies on the DT.

Christmas Lights

I know just how the little guy in my card tonight feels!  This is an image from Digital Delights that I chose when I won a challenge back along and I saw this and just had to have him.  I have teamed him up with some fab Christmas papers from Bearly Mine Designs. Coloured the image with copics, used stardust for the lights then added diamond glaze to the lights and his nose. Ticket die cut, sentiment stamp was a freebie, light brad have had for ages and ribbon from my stash.  Have to say I just love this image!

A Crafty Sentiments Designs Freebie

Non Traditional Christmas

I saw the challenge over at Digital Tuesday this week was for non traditional Christmas and this got me thinking (if you were closer you would have heard the cogs turning and smelt the burning!) I've done non traditional colours and rather like that but I had a look through all my stamps and digi stamps and it suddenly dawned on me what I could do!  So I have used a non traditional image but used traditional colours and this card is for a particular person.  I have used 'Jasmin Witch' from Crafty Sentiments Designs (my friend loves and collects witches!) I have coloured her with copics and added some stardust to her hair and broom which doesn't really show in the picture.  My papers are from Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Frolics which I only downloaded 2 nights ago and I have used glittered gold cs for the mats and the weathered clock die cut.  Finished off with a gold peeloff sentiment and 3 tiny red gems.  I'm pleased with how it turned out as wasn't sure if I could make a witch Christmassy but I think she looks alright! lol

Ribbon Challenge at Hatter's Hope

Good morning its time for challenge number 2 over at Hatter's Hope.  Have you been collecting the free images so far, they are great aren't they?  Anyway our challenge this time is 'Ribbon' nice and easy!  For my card I have used Mad Manga Hatter who is available at Mad For Markers Online store, coloured with my copics (of course!lol) matted on to red cs then onto graph printed Kraft.  The ribbon was a recent win and I love it, may have to get some more soon!lol the 2 cups are cut on the Cricut.  Be sure to check out the other DT's amazing work and then join in the fun.

Yummy Christmas Treat

Popped into the range the other day and a pack of papermania Kraft cs just happened to fall into my basket!  I love the look of Kraft but never seem to have any so thought it was time to remedy this!  After seeing a beautiful card on Doreen's blog the other day that was Kraft, red and white I just knew I wanted to have a go and this is what I came up with.  The image is Primrose - Sweet Cookies which is available over at Crafty Sentiments Designs and I coloured her up with my copics. Matted the image and some of the Kraft onto red mirricard and also embossed some of the Kraft with a little freebie embossing folder of a swirly tree, added some ribbon, gems and a peeloff sentiment that I coloured with the copics and hey presto my card, really pleased with how it turned out.

Anything Goes with A&T Digital Designs

Well the challenge this fortnight over at A&T Digital Designs is the last one of the year as we know how busy everyone is getting in the run up to Christmas, it is also my last post for A&T Digital Designs and Emerald Faeries sadly :-(  I seem to be so busy myself that I didn't feel I could continue to give 100 o/o commitment, maybe in the future they might have me back again :-)  So this challenge is a sure favourite with everyone its 'ANYTHING GOES'  and for my card I chose the cute Willie & Mia which is available at the A&T Digital Designs Shop, coloured with copics, papers are MME (I think) glittered from a couple of years ago then I added a felt poinsettia, small red brad and vellum sticker sentiment.  Thanks to A&T Digital Designs and Emerald Faeries for having me on their team, I have had a wonderful time.

Rosie Spring Flowers

Good morning and I hope you are all well, this morning I would like to share with you a birthday gift that my daughter Ria has made for her friend. Her friend loves rabbits!  So Ria chose Rosie Spring Flowers from Crafty Sentiments Designs and coloured her with copics, cut her out with a nestie and layered her onto some First Edition paper from the New Leaf pad, she added some trim using paper from the same pad then layered this onto a ceramic tile (left over from tiling the bathroom!) once it was all dry she covered it with some varnish to give it extra protection and a little shine.  (more of these tiles are being designed in readiness for Christmas gifts too!)  Ria is also sharing this over at the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration Blog as part of todays inspiration.

Hatter's Hope Bling Challenge reminder

Good morning!  Well actually I'm quite probably still in bed and my blogging friends in Australia are probably sitting down to tea and today over at Hatter's Hope whilst enjoying tea its reminder time about the fab new challenge going on which is 'Bling' so please be sure to pop over (with a cuppa!) and find out all about it and have a look at some more fabulous inspiration while you are there.

For my card I used the pretty 'Poppy with a gift', she is available to buy over at the Mad For Markers Online Store, and as its a bling challenge I coloured her with copics and then added some sakura stardust to her shoes, bow on the present, cany canes in her hair and some to her hair too.  I used to love using spray glitter in my hair when I was off to a party so I thought Poppy might like some too!  Papers are MME (glittered) and coredinations cs, some shiny and some whitewashed.  The whitewashed pieces have been cut and embossed then sanded finished off card with some ribbon and 3 pink gems.  So you've still got plenty of time to enter and don't forget you don't have to use a Hatter's Hope image but if you do you will be in with a chance of winning a prize.
