Over at PTW there is a fabulous sketch by DawnyP (her sketches are great) and here is my take on it. The papers are Shabby Princess digi kit Sunporch, Sugar Nellie image coloured in using wc pencils and sakura pens, used my new nestabilities and some gorgeous flowers that are a mix of new paper ones I got on holiday and fabric ones from Wilkinsons. (I seem to have gone flower mad at the moment, usually I forget I've got them!lol) TFL x

I love this challenge blog, really makes me stop and look at my stash! TFL - now I must get on with some ironing! hope to be back later though!
a missed challenge (SCSC)
Oh my, I missed it, well I did and I didnt! The card was finished in time but I didnt get chance to upload it in time as my computer was hijacked and then I was so tired and by the time I got back on the computer the new challenge was up! Anyway this card followed a sketch and all the papers are from my stash I think the background one isPm but the others I dont know, peeloff fancy corners and flowers and brads from my stash and off course the beautiful Fairy Dottie from Charmed Cards and Crafts. Not so sure about the blue mount now, wanted to pick up the blue in the image its a bit out of my comfort zone which is probably why I'm not sure! anyway TFL . Dotties World Challenge - Lurve
Great challenge over at Dotties World this week - The challenge this week is LURVE. Just plain old love or romance. Here is your chance to make something for hubby for Valentine; anything goes as long as it includes as at least one of the Charmed downloads, set by Karen, and the design team have produced some totally awesome work - go check 'em out. Well I couldn't resist using the fabulous new downloads they are just so cool - Lou you are amazing! I used Madison Oh La La which I coloured using sakura pens, whispers and wc pencils I then threaded thru some funky fibres for an extra touch of glamour (at least that was what I was trying to acheive, not sure it worked!lol) paper is pm and the sentiment is pc generated. TFL
Crafty Muse Favourite Colour Guest Designer
Well Sammi thanks for having me on Crafty Muse as a guest designer I've really enjoyed it. Now this fortnight the challenge is to use your favourite colour and as you can probably guess mine is purple I've used 'a good book' Sugar Nellie stamp which I stamped and embossed with silver pearl embossing powder, coloured in using a mixture of whisper pens, sakura and wc pencils, tiny prima flowers which were a rak the oval frame is cut from mountboard (2 pieces for depth) using the sizzix die, added some glitter glue, background paper is pm and then tied some fibres and a little hat charm from my stash, this is a little bit different for me and I'm quite pleased with it I really must start using my fibres more often. TFL Also I must add a quick apology for not being around blogland very much recently but unfortunately work has got in the way! and on Sunday Ria and I are off to see my mum and dad for the week but I will try and pop on and see what you are all getting up to!

SCSC #17 At the Zoo
Over at SCSC Sue set a fabby challenge called At The Zoo, well its been pretty hectic here this week with one thing or another and I really didnt think I was going to get this one done but thankfully I was able to sit here tonight and make this card. The backfround paper is a freebie from a magazine, the flowers are pm as are the brads and the hippo is from a strip of material from a local quilting shop (I have a couple of strips with different pics and tend to forget that I have them but when it came to the theme of Zoo I knew I didnt have any relevant stamps so I had to think a bit harder and remembered this.) I'm actually quite pleased with the way this has turned out and feel it has a bit of a masculine feel to it despite the flowers. Hope you like it. TFL

ABC challenge Y is for Yesteryear
What a great challenge over at ABC Challenge to use the first stamp you bought. Well I cant remember exactly which was my first stamp but I know that the one that I have used which is part of a set of 4 is definately amongst the first (and to be honest I'd forgotten they were in the drawer!) They are by Rubbadubbadoo and the collection is called Art Flowers. These are actually magnet backed and are still available. The background paper is from the Artylicious Filigree Fusion CD which I then embossed with paisley pattern from the BS texture plates. The flower is coloured with wc pencils and mounted onto some coredintaion cs also embossed then a bit of ribbon from my stash. This card is actually a sympathy card (I really dont like making sympathy cards) so I have kept it very simple. TFL
Snow is still falling here so Ria has gone to bed happy (no school tomorrow! lol) and I am feeling a little more relaxed as I have had to move to the late shift now so hopefully by lunchtime the roads will be a bit clearer and although I dont finish til 9.30pm there arent too many people on the road that time of night so I miss all the mad people who still drive as if its dry and bright conditions!
