SBS Progressive Challenge

Ok cutting it fine with this one this month but have made it.  The progressive challenge over at SBS Friends this month is a great image called Phoenix which I coloured using Copics and Chameleons.  The rest of the challenge was to use a minimum of 1 designer paper and 1 embellishment.  My paper is Basic Grey Colour Me Silly Play.  In my stash I found this cute accordian keeper by Bazzill and thought it would make a great little book to record my weight loss journey in as I joined Slimming World this month!  I have used the image to decorate a page for May of next year and added a blank panel at the bottom to record what my weight gets to at that point and any thoughts.  I like the idea of rising from the ashes as a new and improved me full of hope! lol

The DT were very kindly given some images to play along with and I have used the adorable 'Nothing Like a Good Book' which I coloured with Copics and Chameleons then cut it out and added it an oversized tag not sure where the background paper came from.  Added an open book stamp and a sentiment stamp from PTI and finished off with a brushed silver eyelet and some ladder fibres and hey presto an oversize bookmark, definitely won't lose my place with that one!

The DT were very generously allowed to pick some images to play along with, I chose a rather fun chicken image from the Spring Chicks collection and I reversed the image to get the 2 chickens facing each other. That's the great thing with digi images they are so versatile. My image has been coloured with Chameleons and I have added SN Sparkle in different colours and places but unfortunately that doesn't show in the picture. Papers are Papermania Portobello Road (love this collection) Added some die cuts circles and red pearly and printed the sentiment on the pc.

Simply B progressive challenge

Phew, only making it by the skin of my teeth this month.  We had a fabulous free image from Simply B Stamps and the challenge was to make a project using the image and the sentiment  and there had to be a feather.  Well things have been so hectic this month that I really thought I was going to miss out the chance to play along but I made it!  Went a little bit out of my comfort zone with the peachy colours but I found the paper and took my inspiration from there. The diamond pattern cut out is a new die and I think it will be very useful, the flower was cut from velum using the cricut, added the feather and inked round the image and sentiment and here she is.

The DT were allowed to choose an image from our sponsor and I went for something very much outside my comfort zone!  I have often seen silhouette images with beautiful backgrounds so I thought I'd have a go!  I actually printed the image 3 times so that I had some to practice with 😄 and then I got my ink duster brushes and inks out and got messy, VERY messy but I have to say I do love the end result (x3!) after putting the finished picture on to some black cs I really felt it didn't need anything else.

Simply B Stamps Progressive Challenge

Over at Simply B Stamps Friends the progressive challenges have started, Yay!  Betty has given us a fantastic image to play along with and the Challenge: No red at all, nowhere. Must use at least two scrapbook papers, one embellishment, and the image with the sentiment on your projects. Must be a full project, can be anything, but a complete project not just a coloured image.  

The image is called 'Peppermint Betty'. I have coloured her using Copics and Chameleons and framed her using a new die I got for my birthday which I can see being very useful.  Papers are BG Oh Baby Boy Landon & Garic, the sentiment comes with the image and  I finished off with some flowers and gems.

I have chosen 'Heart and Rose' image no. 133 I did challenge myself somewhat with this as flowers are not my strong point when colouring! I am actually pleased with how this card turned out.  Image is coloured with Chameleons and I added some SN sparkle to the water.  Some iridescent gems to the heart.  The sentiment was cut on the Cricut and then some green and red cs for matting. A C&S card but I really wanted the beautiful image to be the focal point.

All Dressed Up very kindly donated gorgeous images for the DT to use for this challenge and I chose 'Pretty in Plaits' and this week I chose to go monochromatic, haven't done that in a while.  Should have checked my papers first though as when I'd finished the colouring the papers I had just didn't seem to work with the image so I went for plain CS and added some embossing and distressing. Finished off with some organza ribbon and enamel dots. What doesn't show in the picture is that the flowers have some added glitz using SN Sparkle pens.
