The DT were allowed to choose an image from our sponsor and I went for something very much outside my comfort zone!  I have often seen silhouette images with beautiful backgrounds so I thought I'd have a go!  I actually printed the image 3 times so that I had some to practice with 😄 and then I got my ink duster brushes and inks out and got messy, VERY messy but I have to say I do love the end result (x3!) after putting the finished picture on to some black cs I really felt it didn't need anything else.

Simply B Stamps Progressive Challenge

Over at Simply B Stamps Friends the progressive challenges have started, Yay!  Betty has given us a fantastic image to play along with and the Challenge: No red at all, nowhere. Must use at least two scrapbook papers, one embellishment, and the image with the sentiment on your projects. Must be a full project, can be anything, but a complete project not just a coloured image.  

The image is called 'Peppermint Betty'. I have coloured her using Copics and Chameleons and framed her using a new die I got for my birthday which I can see being very useful.  Papers are BG Oh Baby Boy Landon & Garic, the sentiment comes with the image and  I finished off with some flowers and gems.

I have chosen 'Heart and Rose' image no. 133 I did challenge myself somewhat with this as flowers are not my strong point when colouring! I am actually pleased with how this card turned out.  Image is coloured with Chameleons and I added some SN sparkle to the water.  Some iridescent gems to the heart.  The sentiment was cut on the Cricut and then some green and red cs for matting. A C&S card but I really wanted the beautiful image to be the focal point.

The DT were given some beautiful images to play along with.  I chose to use MorganRagga muffin Kids No. 5.  I coloured her in using Copics and SN pencils and inked round the edge using 3 different inks.  Papers are K&CO 'Brianna'.  The background leaf die cut was cut twice, I added some lace and a sticker from the 'Brianna' kit finished the card off.

All Dressed Up very kindly donated gorgeous images for the DT to use for this challenge and I chose 'Pretty in Plaits' and this week I chose to go monochromatic, haven't done that in a while.  Should have checked my papers first though as when I'd finished the colouring the papers I had just didn't seem to work with the image so I went for plain CS and added some embossing and distressing. Finished off with some organza ribbon and enamel dots. What doesn't show in the picture is that the flowers have some added glitz using SN Sparkle pens.

Last Christmas card of the year

So here is my last Christmas card for this year, I really need to get myself so much more organised next year, but we'll see! lol!  Anyway back to this year, I have used the trees stamp and stag die again for this card and I have embossed the background with swiss dots folder, added some washi tape with deer on it and mounted it all on Kraft cs.

A last minute card

Well I have really struggled this year to make enough cards to go round but I have 1 or 2 left to share.  I have posted them all but had to succumb to buying some!  Better luck next year! So today I will share a card I made using a tag that I made a little while ago.  I decided to use it as a topper instead of a tag! lol  I think the paper is K&CO and I finished off with some little wooden rounds.  I really like the stag die cut and the tree stamp.

For my card this week I have used the image 'Bunny Christmas' which I have coloured with Copics and Chameleons then I added some glamour dust to his hat and I found a very old bottle of some glitter writer which I used for the snow (crossed my fingers it was still going to work and thankfully it did! lol) Kept the card nice and simple so as not to distract from the  gorgeous image.  The background is embossed with snowflakes, a simple sentiment and then while I was looking for some embellishments I started playing around with some Prima flowers and wanted them to sparkle so I thought I'd try colouring over them with some SN Sparkles and I was pleased with the result, for this card I added clear sparkle over white flowers then finished off with some green gems.

Good morning, well I'm getting a little excited as tomorrow we are off on a holiday, we have rented a cottage near the sea (Adrian hopes to get a bit of fishing done) complete with log burner, so I'm looking forward to some time curled up with a good book or maybe a bit of knitting but definitely NO WORK! lol
