For my card I have used 'Uncommon Friendship' from our sponsor, coloured with a mix of markers and sparkle pens which don't really show in the picture.  The backing paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and I used some bronze coloured metallic paper which I distressed with embossing powders to try and give it a bit of  rusty look.  Before adding it to the image I sandwiched a piece of embossed acetate between image and frame.  I was trying for the look of an old porthole, not sure I really got there!  I finished off the card with a sentiment from Sentimental Sundays and an anchor cut on the Cricut.

Here I have tried to get a picture showing the embossed acetate and sparkle (not easy! lol)

Hey Good looking ....

Whatcha got cookin'?  Well this post is a bit of a rush as I am very nearly out of time to play along with the  challenge over at The East Wind which is Make It 3D.  Well I was looking through my images trying to decide which to use when Fridays new image came up n my feed well I just couldn't resist so Aurora Little Baker and Love kitchen just fell into my basket and I started my card.  Unfortunately I had to work Sunday (10.00-22.00), sleep in and today (07.00-21.30) so I rushed home to get this finished, photographed and upload before the challenge finishes!  I have coloured using a mix of markers and everything that is 'stainless steel' has been given the Spectrum Noir Sparkle treatment! lol  I also printed the kitchen twice and fussy cut the Kitchen Aid, toaster, frying pan and cat separately and added them and Aurora using foam pads (need to get some thicker foam pads!)  Finished off with a computer generated sentiment.  Kept it all quite simple as I wanted the images to speak for themselves.

Our sponsor also very kindly gave the DT some wonderful images to play along with.  I have used the lovely 'Polka Dot Pals Caroline'.  I've coloured her with a mix of markers and one of my fave colour combos of green and purple and added some sparkle pen to her boots and also to the fringed flower. The patterned paper is from First Editions Daydream pad teamed with some green cs.  The pale purple piece has been emobossed with some clouds, used some cloud die cuts a little stamped sentiment, some purple lace which was a charity shop buy a few years ago and I finished off with some gems and some glass bead stems.

The DT were given some wonderful images to play with, I have used 'Panda' and I opted for oranges, not a colour I use very often as a main colour but I like how it turned out.  The image is coloured with a mix of markers, the bg paper is from Raspberry Road Designs, I embossed a panel of black cs, sentiment is from Sentimental Sundays and I finished off with a wooden panda button and some orange thread.

A Little Light Music

Thought I'd play along with the current challenge over at Club Kenny K which is ATG with a twist to use one of the 2 freebies which are available, one is via the newsletter and one is a Club Kenny K member exclusive.  I have used 'Tori Famous' and printed her directly onto a large tag.  I decided to go with a monochrome theme.  I added some ticket die cuts and the music die cut was given to me. The sentiment I got a couple of years ago as a freebie from Sentimental Sundays and I thought it worked well with this image. Finished off with some spotty ribbon.

A Wall Hanging

Been working on a new project over the past couple of days using an amazing image from the uber talented Unky of The East Wind and what's also awesome is that this is this months newsletter freebie!  I have to admit that it took me a while to colour, I'm still trying to get better at faces so this is an ideal image! and to top it off my Copic E00 literally ran dry while I was colouring, I knew it was running out but really!  Anyway got it completed and am pleased with how it coloured up, still need more practice but getting there.  There is a fab challenge on over at TEW at the moment too which is Steampunk/Industrial/Metal. I think I've ended up with a bit of all three.  Steampunk always goes down well in our house and this wall hanging will be off to London when Ria goes back to uni.  I have used a piece of coloured mountboard that is actually an offcut from my local picture framers.  I get it for free as it is pieces he would normally throw away which he has to pay to get rid off so every now and again I pop in and come out with a box full of scraps!  The paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and I have used various Cricut cuts and the sizzix cog die which I have heat embossed several times using black, silver, copper and antique gold powders.  Also embossed the edges of the panel using copper and antique gold powders.  I added the metal clips (which I was sent from America a few years ago and never found the right project till now!) which spell out 'wish', 'dream' and 'adventure'.

Fairy Wishes

Thought I'd share a card I made this afternoon.  I used the beautiful 'Ivy Fairy' from Delicious Doodles and using PSE5 I changed the colour and thought she'd look good in green, I added some sparkle with Spectrum Sparkle pens to her wings but it doesn't show in the picture. I printed her onto pale cream cs, matted onto green cs then mounted that onto slightly dark cream cs that has been embossed.  Cream organza ribbon topped off with an ivy corner die cut and finished with some green gems.

Sweet Melody

Recently I was very lucky and won the challenge over at The Paper Shelter and because I had used one of their images that meant I won a fabulous $30 gift certificate to their store.  So here is a card I have made with one of my chosen images.  This is 'Melody' and she has been coloured using a mix of markers, a white gel pen and a red sparkle pen, the paper is from The Range and is glittered, the sentiment is cut on the Cricut, I've made some rolled roses from spotty paper and black paper and I finished off with some black cs die cuts and red gems.

A Little Recycling/Re-Purposing

Just thought I'd share my latest project with you.  I keep my tablets in a little brown box that had a replacement printer head in it and I thought it was time it had a makeover! Well it might as well look good as well as being useful!  I used Deco patch papers and glue, Kraft cs and some other pieces of cs for the mats and die cuts.  The image is 'Spring Birdie' from TEW coloured with a mix of markers and everything had a final coat of deco patch glue before finishing off with some liquid pearls.

A Little Easter Fun

I was playing around on the Cricut today and having a look at the free cuts which change regularly, so at the moment it's Easter 2010 and on it are some cute looking lambs so I just had to cut them out and now they've made their way onto this fun Easter card.  The paper is  from Barely Mine Designs and I've added some die cut grass, some punched flowers, the sentiment is pc generated and cut out using speech bubbles cut on the Cricut.

A quick Hello!

Ooh look at me back with another card!  I have to admit this was a super fun and quick card to make. The image is from Bugaboo and I printed it onto cream cs and cut it out using the Cricut along with the mat.  Patterned paper is First Editions Neroli.  Image is coloured with copics and spectrums, die cut ladybugs and butterfly and some black ribbon and gems from stash.

Nothing Wrong With Me ...

... That a little chocolate won't fix!  I bet there are a lot of us that can relate to that.  It was the starting point for my card share and its from The Paper Shelter - Tasty Signs collection and I teamed it up with 'A little bit grumpy' coloured with a mix of markers and sparkle pens.  Papers are digi kit called 'Life is a box of chocolates' by Stacey's Scraps (I've had it a LONG time!)
