Good Morning and Happy Friday, I hope you all have something nice planned for your weekend.  Today I'm on a long day and sleep in at work followed by an early on Saturday but I'm planning on some craft time Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday as yesterday I took delivery of a Cricut Expression that I won on Ebay! Fabulous prizes and the DT got to use some of the fabulous images from Stamping Boutique.  I have used the Owl Family image, coloured with spectrums. Papers are MME Wild Asparagus and some brown cs. The sentiment was cut on my old Cricut Personal Cutter which is most definietly on its way out, hence the new one! I finished off with some red gems, die cut branches and a flower.

Make It Sparkle with the Divas

Good morning its time for a wonderful new challenge over at Divas By Design and this week its 'Make It Sparkle' and we all love a bit of sparkle don't we?!  There is a fabulous Craft Bag up for grabs too for the lucky winner.

For my project I have made another page for my calendar.  I used the fabulous Freida Flapper from Kenny K and she was a delight to colour in using my copics and spectrums.  I teamed her up with some gorgeous new paper I got whilst on my hols last week its First Edition 'Neroli' and the patterned piece I have used has a gem effect on it, the blue mat is also from the pad and the red background is actually a spare envelope!  I have added lots of sparkle to my image using sakura stardust pens and then I finished off with some gems from my stash and the calendar page, love how this turned out.

And here is a close up taken with the flash to give you an idea of the sparkle.

Lets see a little LOVE with Crafty Sentiments

Crafty Catz #219 Cream, Green + 1 other

Hi there, well here we are it's Friday, I've had a fabulous holiday this week and travel back home tomorrow and back to work on Sunday!  So it's time to share with you this weeks new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week our wonderful Christine has chosen the theme of Cream, Green + 1 other colour.  Now I have to admit I was initially a little stumped as to what to do here but then I thought about the cute new image from Crafty Sentiments Design called Dayna and thought the image might look cute coloured cream and my project was born from there.  So before I show you what I made I wanted to tell you about the wonderful sponsor this week and it's

So I decided to make a treat box using the cute image Dayna, I coloured using spectrums and added 3d glaze to the balloon, I added a stamped tag sentiment to the balloon and my backing paper was a First Edition paper and I finished off with some green gems and then added some chocolate bars!

Crafty Sentiments New Release Preview Day 1

How exciting it's new release time over at Crafty Sentiments Designs and we have some fabulous new stamps in the Lollipop Dreams Collection to show you over the next 3 days.  So check out the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration Blog to see lots of wonderful samples of these gorgeous new stamps.  Today it is the turn of 'Meeting Firends' and 'Prom'.  For my project I have used the cute 'Meeting Friends' isn't she just a darling! and she will be available to buy, along with the other new stamps on 22 February

I have coloured her using copics and spectrums and I used a Joanna Sheen bunting die cut on the top and pinned her as a decoration in the top of a calorie free cupcake.  I used a tutorial from here  and here to make my cupcake and base from.  The base is decorated with liquid pearls and peeloff sentiments. The ribbon is decorated with shiny flower sequins stitched in place with purple seed beads.

Fabulous don't you agree, well the DT all had the chance to play along with a Rick St Dennis image, how fun and I chose Jazz Singer.  I have used spectrums to colour her and added black glitter to the pattern on her red dress and some sakura clear glitter pen to her hair.  I decided to keep this pretty simple to let the image speak for itself so kept with the red/black/sparkle theme by finishing off with a wonder Joanna Sheen die cut.

With Love at Divas By Design

For my card I have used a beary cute couple the image is called 'The Gentle Touch' and is a digi stamp from Crafty Sentiments Design, aren't they just so sweet?  Coloured with spectrums and mounted on a die cut doily, the banner die cut is a Joanna Sheen, a good friend sent me some wonderful die cuts for my birthday recently and this is one of them and now I so NEED the die! lol I coloured it with copics to match the the yellow of the roses in the pretty paper from Bearly Mine Designs and I added some little to gems to the ends of the banner, finished off with the stamped sentiment and some flowers and wire from my stash.

For my card I have made an anniversary card, commissioned by my Aunt and I have used a fabulous Stella and Gus image, I love these guys they are such fun. I have coloured with spectrums and added 3d glaze to their glasses and the little heart above them.  Paper is MAMBI and the flowers, heart brad, ribbon and heart charm are all from my stash.  I also decorated the inside of this card and used the sentiment that came with the image but had to change it ever so slightly to fit my needs.  I am pleased to say that my Aunt is very pleased with it too.

Fishing George

This card is a commissioned card requested by my aunt so I hope she likes it.  She gave me some key points to work with and fishing and Man U were among them so that was my starting point.  After racking my (tiny) brain for inspiration I suddenly remembered good ole 'George' from the pen of Louise Brigden over at Charmed Cards & Crafts.  Once upon a time I only had Dottie & George digi images and used them so much, so bringing George out again was like revisiting an old friend!  Anyway I coloured George with copics and spectrums and added a tiny bit of sakura stardust to the fish.  Papers are a freebie download I got ages ago but can't remember where from and Kraft cs. the sentiments are some stamps and I finished off with some ribbon from my stash.  I decorated the inside of this card (very simply) with some of the paper and Kraft and a pc generated sentiment.

Vintage with Lace at Divas By Design

Oh this week we have a great challenge for you over at Divas By Design and it's 'Vintage with Lace'.  Now I have to admit when I first saw this theme I ran and hid!  I love vintage cards but I really struggle to make them!  But then isn't that the whole point of a challenge - to challenge ourselves!  We have a fab sponsor for you as always and this week its ...

So I took a deep breath and jumped on in and this is what I came out with and I have to say I am rather pleased with how it turned out.  I have used the dress form stamp from SteamPunk Dreams from Creative Expressions and I heat embossed it with Antique Gold powder, along with the butterfly and sentiment which are also from the same collection, the papers are MME 'Wild Asparagus and I've distressed all the edges and layered at different angles then I finished off with some beaded lace and a build a brad which has a piece of the paper in it and again is in an antique gold colour.  So yes different for me and  a challenge for me but I really enjoyed making this and have just managed to stop Ria from taking possession of it and it disappearing into her room! But at least the fact she wants to is a good sign! lol

Another calendar page

I am slowly getting my calendar pages completed but they might not all get shown in order as some are DT projects but the one for April is a just because I had some time page! lol they don't come around too often these days since going back up to full time hours at work!  Anyway back to the page, well with Easter being in April that had to be the start of my inspiration and I just had to use this cutie from Crafty Sentiments Designs called 'Chicken Run'  I coloured her with Spectrums added some sakura glitter pen on her skirt and strawberry, paper is Raspberry Road Designs 'Baked Goods' and the cs is all from my scraps tubs and I finished off with some little metal flowers.  So there you have it another month completed, I might even get time today to do another! (If I'm lucky)

Crafty Catz #215 - Monochrome

Good morning all, well I'm sorry I'm running late this morning but have been having a blogger issue and it would seem I have some conflict between blogger and Norton but anyway I'm here now so let me tell you about the new challenge this week over at Crafty Catz, this week the wonderful Naomi chose the theme of Monochrome, this used to fill me with fear now I really like it! lol.  We have a great sponsor too.

I used the fabulous image Working the Land.  Now I chose green because a little while ago I was running out ink (I didn't know it at the time) and I went to print this image and it came out green and I thought at the time how effective it looked so when Naomi set us the theme of monochrome I just knew what colour I was going to use!  I started with a green cs base, then a scrap ofvery old green mottled paper from my scraps drawer (I think it's HOTP) then I used more of the green cs to make a mat that I half embossed then added the image, sentiment and some green brads.  Cut some swirls using the green cs and added some green flowers and tiny roses.
