Snowy Post Box

Ok short and sweet post as I need to get this entered into the challenge over at Delicious Doodles, which this week is C&S.

I have used the beautiful Snowy Postbox from Delicious Doodles and coloured it with my spectrums and added glitter, white and red cs and stamped sentiment and a few gems, that's it!  Love how this turned out and so quick to colour too! lol

Its Christmas at Crafty Sentiments

Good morning all, well Christmas is drawing ever closer and I don't know about you but I haven't made nearly enough cards yet so this weeks challenge over at Crafty Sentiments, chosen by the wonderful Caz, is Christmas!  Yep, that easy! We have a really fabulous prize for you this week and If you use a CS image you get 3 entries into the random draw if you are also a/or become a follower on the Inspirational blog you also get 3 entries - If you do both you get 6 entries.  WOW!

Fabulous!  So I decided to try something a little different and turned to my trusty Cricut for inspiration and found this fabulous pot of utensils which I thought would work wonderfully with 'Sweet Treats' stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs, which inspired me to use Kraft as the base to echo the gingerbread and then I remembered the cute gingerbread men Quikcutz die and hey presto my card was realised!  Great fun to make, will be looking at my Cricut for more inspiration for sure.

Something Snowy with Divas

Good morning all, well this post is sheduled as I am just starting a run of 7 shifts in 5 days plus 2 sleep ins so I'm gonna be kinda busy, my apologies if I don't get round and visit as much as I'd like to.  Still it's Wednesday so time for another fabulous challenge over at Divas By Design and this week we are looking for 'Something Snowy' and I knew just what I stamp I wanted to use for this challenge!  We are sponsored this week by

Come on Teddy

Good morning all, I have a card to share today that I made using one of the newest stamp releases from Crafty Sentiments Designs, just love these stamps they stamp beautifully and are a dream to colour.  Anyway this card uses the stamp 'Come on Teddy' coloured with copics and spectrums, sentiment is a sizzix die, button and thread from my stash and the paper is a very old freebie piece from a magazine and some very old s/a ribbon, can you tell I've been rummaging in my Old Christmas Stash! lol

Time for a little photo inspiration with Crafty Catz

And the DT were very lucky and got to use some stunning images from our fabulous sponsor, you really must check out all the gorgeous creations by the super talented DT.  For my card I used the awesome 'Gothica' coloured with my spectrums and my inspiration from the photo is how I came to do my background.  I embossed a piece of black cs then turned it over to the debossed side and filled the design with glue then covered with different glitters, the peeloff sentiment is added to a die cut label from Crafty Cutters at Crafty Sentiments Designs and I finished off with some faux stitching in silver and some grey ribbon.  This was fun to do and I'm still clearing up glitter! lol

Paper piecing with Crafty Catz

Good morning, well here we are it's Friday and time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz but before I get to that please welcome Nikki to our happy team as GD for November.  Ok so this week the wonderful Nina has chosen the theme of 'Paper Piecing', I love this technique but don't seem to remember to do it too often! lol  We also have a great sponsor this week, it's

And the DT was lucky enough to get to have a play with some fabulous Digi Darla images.  For my card I have used 'Ashley with Roses' and I teamed her up with some gorgeous papers from Bearly Mine Designs,  I love paper piecing with digi papers because you can print them out at a size to suit your image.  After paper piecing I have coloured my image with copics and spectrums.  I added soem ribbon, flowers and gems from my stash and finished off with a stamped sentiment and did some distressing round the edge of the background and inking round the ovals.

Black & Gold

Ok I'm just about to head off to bed but wanted to share this card first as one of the challenges I want to enter it into closes Saturday and I'm at work from 7.30am to 10pm and then sleeping in so wont be home till 8am or so on Saturday morning.  I was working on this card this morning before going to work but hadn't had time to put it together and photograph it, so here it is now ...  The gold embossed cs I have had for several years, (only got 1 piece left now), cut the reindeer on the cricut using the Gypsy Wanderings matted on to black then gold circles cut using spellbinder dies which are then layered onto another cricut cut using the paperlace cartridge which in turn is layered onto another piece of the gold cs and a couple of lengths of ribbon added.  Really like how this turned out (actually turned out how I had hoped, so often my cards look totally different to how I imagine them at the start! lol)  May even try this in some other colours.

Eyes Down at Crafty Sentiments

Good morning all, I hope the weather with you isn't as awful as it is here, very very wet!  Still who fancies a game of bingo?  You do?  Well grab your crafting goodies and join in the fun over at Crafty Sentiments as the wonderful Celine has chosen the theme of Bingo for this weeks challenge and has this fabulous board to choose from.

So for my project this week I decided on a tag and have used 'Snowy the Snowman, coloured with spectrums and glamour dust added, inked the edges before layering onto some Bearly Mine paper, added some punched branches to go with the felt poinsettia and some metal snowflake brads and finished off with some ribbon and a piece of icicle border die cut.  I have managed to incorporate 2 lines in my project - red, punches & metal and metal, tag & flowers.

I have coloured with my copics and spectrums and then fussy cut, a little bit of sparkle has been added to the holly and her wings using stardust pens.  Then I made a luminaire cut on my Cricut out of gold glitter card and vellum which also has a kind of glitter effect to it and added some holly cut using a quick kutz die.  These must only be used with little battery operated tea lights but they do look nice especially if you can get the ones that flicker.

Crafty Sentiments New Release Preview Day 1

Hello there, I'm running a little late today with the first of the preview days for the fabulous new release of stamps over at Crafty Sentiments Designs there are 8 new stamps and we will be showcasing just 3 of them over the next 3 days and all 8 will be available to buy on 22 October 2013.  So today it is the turn of 'New Winter Skates' and if you hop on over to the Crafty Sentiments Inspirational blog you will find loads of fabulous inspiration using this adorable new stamp.

For my project I decided to make a circle easel card and I used an old cd as the base which I covered in glitter card.  The fence is a Cricut cut and the snowballs are some little pompoms cut of some ribbon.  I coloured the image with copics and spectrum noirs and I went with traditional colours and am pleased with how this turned out

A little gift

Good morning, well Friday is here and it's the start of the weekend I hope you all have some great things planned, me?  I'm working! but it is also time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week the lovely Naomi has chosen the theme of 'A Gift To Remember' which means we are looking for a card but it MUST have a present on it (image or embellishment), OR something to give a gift in OR a make a gift, so plenty of scope there for you to have fun with.  We have a fabulous sponsor too

For my gift I have made a box which holds some home made cards.  I found the tutorial while I was hopping round blogland the other day and couldn't resist having a go so here it is.  The cute image is from our wonderful sponsor and this is Barry Birthday 5, coloured with spectrum noirs, the paper is Family Ties from First edition and Birthdays was cut using my Cricut.  I've added little magnets to the closure.
