Christmas Stamp Preview Day 1

Today is the official start of previews for the new Christmas stamp release over at Crafty Sentiments Designs and boy oh boy are these stamps awesome, you are gonna love them and wait till you see what the DT have been getting up to with them, and not a Christmas Card in sight!  Today I am previewing 'Lantern Fairy' and if you pop over to the Inspiration Blog you can see the other stamps that are being previewed today too, all the amazing stamps that we are previewing over the next 3 days will be available to buy in store on the 10th July

Now before I show you what I have been doing I'd like to let you know there are some prizes up for grabs so ...

We shall be giving away a Christmas present to one lucky follower who leaves us a comment on the Inspirational Blog and also
on the 8th, 9th and 10th we will be giving away a 2 month GDT spot every day!! (terms will apply)

Nice prizes wouldn't you agree!  So on with my project, I have made a luminaire (my first one!) and I must say I'm pleased with how it has turned out and already I know I need to make more!  I made this one by using a tag shape on the Cricut using George Basic shapes in silhouette mode  which I welded on the Gypsy and then cut, added some vellum again cut using the Cricut and then embossed for some texture, glued the vellum in to place then scored and folded the gold glitter card and finished off by attaching the cute lantern fairy, coloured with copics, added liquid pearls to her wings and 3d glaze over her lantern and a sentiment stamped on a vintage label die, available at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  Popped it over a battery operated tea light and hey presto!

and here is one with the lights out and the candle on

I would like to enter this luminaire into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly ~ Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew #39 ~ No designer paper
Fab 'n' Funky #178 ~ Anything but a square
4 Crafty Chicks #149  ~ Dry embossing
Challenges 4 Everybody #24 ~ Anything Goes
